The right code is:

Code:

<br />
<if condition="is_browser('firefox')">
<b>Tip 1 :</b> Firefox users: If this player doesn't work,<a href="http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=167260" target="_blank"> Click Here</a> for a possible solution.<br>
</if>

Thanks anyway svt, owe ya:)

Hope that helps....Going to check paulz now:)

Paulz, some questions mate:)

1) How u make Radio, not be able to played from visitors

2) Something except that hack, where did u found this nice hack that bugs the users who hasnt activated yet?

3) In the radio popup, u have put twice the link for possible problems(if u open u will understand)

4) If i put that, i have to change my radio stations again?

5) How u change the color:(

Thats all:)

Thanks in advance:)

1) not all that sure, but it'd involve a conditional in the vBRadio.php file excluding the usergroup for unregister/not logged in and then print_no_permission (not sure if that's a template or phase thing)

2) the hack is the Dynamic Forum Announcements hack tweaked to work in my header so it shows on all pages (including CMPS)

3) Fixed. ctrl+f5 if it still shows

4) No you don't as they are stored in your database

5) The color of the vBRadio page? This page uses the style you have set for the rest of the site.

moethelawn 01-08-2005 05:47 AM

Running 3.0.5 and it seems to work fine for me.... Nice job, ZT :)

dookie 01-08-2005 06:41 AM

*uninstall* :(
No need for a hack that is written for Internet Explorer users only.

if you had bothered to read the whole thread, you'd know a fix for firefox has been posted.

Feeds:
http://www.radiofeeds.co.uk/
(look at page source - and only select Windows not Real Player

http://www.broadcast-live.com/britain.html

http://webradio.tagvof.nl/

Also, play a radio station in Windows Media Player 9/10, then select File/Properties and get the URL from the properties dialog box to plug into the vBRadio.

Cheers.
(Anyone facny a frameless window version which looks like a radio player..)

kompakt 01-10-2005 06:51 PM

Dennis B 01-13-2005 12:45 AM

I have been playing with one of my styles and created a different look for the controls, because some of my members are getting confused as to how this works.

I created some simple GIFs for buttons just for now. When the MUTE button is pressed, the button turns red and says MUTED. This is just play/experiments right now but I think I can create a pretty cool looking radio player interface.
Here's a few screenshots of the experiments:

very cool!

MentaL 01-15-2005 01:19 AM

mixx941 01-15-2005 08:39 PM

Hi everyone. Got the mod installed without any errors, but when I click the vBRadio link on the navbar, it pops up a blank page.

Going to www.mysite.com/forum/vBRadio.php is blank as well. Tried in Firefox and IE, same result. vBulletin 3.0.3. Thanks!

Pseudomizer 01-15-2005 08:54 PM

Sounds like there is a problem with the RADIO template.

blackpheonix 01-16-2005 03:15 AM

i got same prob

paulz 01-16-2005 04:41 AM

it's def. a template related issue.

Megareus Rex 01-16-2005 07:55 AM

I know I already posted thanking you for this hack, but THIS HACK IS F-ING AWESOME!!! My members LOVE it!!!!

Pseudomizer 01-16-2005 04:38 PM

Hello,

no one answered my question about implementing Real Player Streams but this hack says "supported". I do not like it if people do not care about their hacks. I care about my hacks which i released. Hopefully the author is just AFK for a short period of time.

Regardless of this i sat down and implemented it on my own. I have now Windows Media Player and Real Player Stream on my VBRadio. :devious:

The Sunshine live Stream is the Real Player Stream marked with the (R). All other streams marked with (W) are Windows Media Player streams.

If you want to have a look on your own http://www.LoveTalks.de/forum/

Hint: This is a german site !!! :nervous:

If people are interested in this recoding then please post it here. I had to modify all files and also do database changes. If the author is interested i would be more then happy to share my changes.

Cheers,

lanc3lot 01-18-2005 01:25 AM

Hmm, i would love to have real player support also:)

Alien 01-18-2005 04:56 AM

Hey there,

Ditto, I'd love to add additional player options to my site!

MauriceReed 01-18-2005 03:52 PM

hi guys..i keep seeing ppl saying they`ve installed it, but all thety see is a blank window...and the response is always"something wrong with the RADIO template....."

well ive got the same problem..ie.....open window...and its a blank.

instead of the same reply yet again...can someone go into a little more depth as to how to resolve it please?
theres a few of us n00bs knocking around u know.

;)

sportster 01-20-2005 10:28 AM

Installed this mod. When clicking on link from Home Page , I get a 404 Error ,when clicking it from the forum pages it opens up the window, but when I click on PLAY THIS STATION , nothing happens

SVTBlackLight01 01-20-2005 03:30 PM

In the javascript, change vBRadio.php to
Code:

$vboptions[bburl]/vBRadio.php
I believe your problem with it playing may be with some of the channels. I tried a few and they played fine, some didn't.

sportster 01-20-2005 06:51 PM

Thanks SVT ,that worked, still cant get anything to play. Went to a radio site, listened online . Copied the url ending in .asx and added it to my site, nothing

DjTaz 01-21-2005 01:17 PM

Got this working on VB 3.0.6 and it works perfectly ... anyone got a list of stations handy ? or even a method to find them , the ones on it work ok , but id like a better selection if possible.

Thanks

SVTBlackLight01 01-21-2005 05:15 PM

There are several sources listed throughout this thread. It would be convenient, though, if they could all be listed at the top with the hack description.

Bluetiereign 01-21-2005 09:06 PM

All I get is a pop-up screen... it stays white.

Make sure you have your RADIO template in that style setup. Sometimes upgrading can make your RADIO template disappear too (happened to me after I upgraded a couple of times...)

Bluetiereign 01-21-2005 09:44 PM

OK... Thanks, I found it.

No Prob :)

el-safa 01-22-2005 12:54 AM

wooow it is wery good hack i will install it now

thanks

Limey-YMR 01-27-2005 03:21 AM

Firefox workaround!

I haven't been through every post, there's a lot of pointless posts, but I found that using Media Player 10 and Firefox 1 (latest of each)
you will most likely see connecting... right away even before selecting a station, hit the play this station button to start a stream (within 6 or so secs) (though I have altered the RADIO template to include the controls, which firefox plugin doesn't ignore.

once you start streaming the first channel in the list, you can then select any channel at will with good ol' Firefox.

Apologies if this has been mentioned already, but this hack thread is getting cluttered quick
Great Hack :)

restless 01-27-2005 05:47 PM

i would love to see realplayer support as well.
