It searches using the tutorial title. I have had little troubles with it but 75% of the time I found what I needed to. 1.4 will contain a better search.
|
So will we have a fix for the bbcode parsing problem or shall we wait for 1.4? If so, when do u schedule 1.4?
Thanks! |

And for a release date for 1.4, I cannot say. |
Big thx for 1.3 releaze ;)
|
IKER is it working correctly for you?
AM I the only one having installed 1.3? Am I the only one having problems with content parsing? Thanks! |
is there one for vb3?
|
assassingod, I realise that you are a very busy beaver :)
Could you give me some ideas of how I might be able to use something simular this on vb3 please. Would it be something like adding additional web pages and linking them into the forum?? thanks for your time;) |
a fix for the parsing problem would be AWESOME too ;)
|
Sorry for not getting back to anyone about updates for this hack - been a bit busy. Will work on everything tonight.
|
Cool thanks!
|
It's been one week... no fix yet for the parsing problem? ;)
|
well i updated everything works but VB code doesnt work uh oh lol
http://www.thecerealkiller.com/forum...iewtut&tutid=4 thats some nasty stuff right there man |
and no1 can post new tutorials
|
you cant make a tutorial and stop offering support man
|
Sorry I have been busy and not been able to support any of my hacks. I'm going to sort out everyones problems A.S.A.P - Sorry for not getting back to everyone sooner.

please hurry man seriosuly its so messed up its parsing the html and doest recognize the vb code |
Have you tried:
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showpost....3&postcount=53 ? |
None of the code is parsed at all! Even CR's are not parsed, not just image tags...
|
Alright, didn't know it was that serious. Let me try and sort it out
|

well it didnt happen until i updated it so i dunno |
I really cannot see an obvious reason why this is happening. The best thing I can suggest is to reupload tutorials.php from the zip.
|
the problem is not int utorials.php although i did reuplaod it just to be sure heres an example of the hell im facing
http://www.thecerealkiller.com/forum...ewtut&tutid=10 |
Have you added any tutorials after the upgrade? Also, do you mind setting up a test account for me?
|
Quote:
no all were b4 the upgrade then i added sum code u had in the last posts bc none of my tuts were showing up test account? |
Try adding a tutorial now. And test account on your forums (ie, username test, password test)
|
Also, i've checked your site and it doesn't seem to be running the latest version (Are you sure you updated the hack properly?)
|
I've reinstalled it from scratch and reuploaded latest version and still nothing...
Any other ideas? |
Can you install it on a testboard (Ifyou have one) and see if the problem still occurs? I have downloaded the zip in the post and installed it over and over again and cannot reproduce the problem
|
Then it must be it conflicts with another hack...
THe only one I can think of is maybe the one that saves you bandwith by removing unneeded spaces... wdy think? |
Is it just me, or does the search engine not work? When I click "search" without any input, I get a list of all the tutorials, but keyword specific searches based on tutorials I have already posted yield no results.
|
Matt D, that's a bug - I may fix this. Also, the search function is very basic, however, it does work.
|
What I've just noticed is that if you search for the last term in a tutorial header
ie: How to upgrade to Windows XP Searching for XP, you will find the article in the search results, but if you search for any of the other words (how, to, upgrade, windows) - you will not find the article in the results. Give it a test at http://www.ostutorials.com/tutorials...&action=search With an actual article on the site, Global AWStats v5.6 on Ensim |
Ok I think I know what I did wrong. Give me time to update the ZIP.
|
Asssassingod,
Any chances for you to install and test the "save bandwidth" hack to see if it affects your hack's parsing? Thanks! |
This one i meant:
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthrea...=save+bandwith |

|
OK it is parsing HTML correctly but it is ignoring VB CODE at all.
I've removed the "save bandwith" hack and results are THE SAME. Has any one installed this hack onto a vb2.3.x board and have it working? online? can I have your URL? Assassingod, any other ideas??? Thanks! |
I, since the beginning of this problem, am still totally confused to why it's not working. The code is exactly the same as it was in 1.2, and nothing else has changed. I really cannot think of anything to do, try editing the tutorial and saving it - that may trigger something.
|
Already tried and nothing happens... how/when/where do you parse the vb code? may be i modified any hack which is affecting yours...
|
No that's not possible unless you modified tutorials.php - Nothing else could affect it.
