Is there an option to turn off images?

As in to prevent the use of images in the listings completely? Or when viewing the list of listings? Or do you mean something else?

I don't want to have the featured listing on the home page but i rather it in the posting area, what can i do enable that.

Also since i'm not using it in the home page how to disable jquery/jquery-{version}.min.js on the main page.

So, uh... how do we install this? I tried uploading the xml files named "bitfield_dbtech_classifieds.xml" and "cpnav_dbtech_classifieds.xml" via the product import panel to no avail. "Invalid File Specified".

There are absolutely no instructions. Checked everywhere.

You need to, drag and drop the contents of the upload folder (use Ctrl+A to select all files) to your public_html folder.

Then import the product XML.

Yes turning off the featured listing for the front forum page, also removing the jquery/jquery-{version}.min.js in the header because i dont want it increasing the page size.

In the Admin Settings section of Classifieds there is a settings group called DragonByte Tech: Classifieds - Advert Settings

In there you can disable various advert displays (or change their location) across the vB install.

Regarding the jQuery load, I might be able to find you some Template code you could use to not display that. I'll test some options and get back to you to let you know if we can do it without changing the main files.

Which file specifically do I "import" via the Product Import panel in my admin options?

I'm running vbulletin 4.0.8. Maybe it just doesn't work with my version?

The file you import is:

XML/vB4/product-dbtech_classifieds.xml

If you are running 4.0.8, that might mean you don't get the links correctly for the Classifieds. If that is the case, let me know and I'll sort something out for you. The XMLs you tried installing are part of the core features. We always put XMLs for installation in the main XML folder in the zip file. Anything in the upload folder needs uploading to the root forum directory.

If you still have trouble, let me know and I can take a look if you send me some access details to your Admin CP, etc. You can do that via PM here or to Mokonzi at the main www.dragonbyte-tech.com site.

When I try to remove a Listing Length from the Listing Length menu, I get an error:

"Invalid: 0"

Won't let me delete listing lengths (any of them)!

Fixed it in the current version. If you redownload the zip file and upload it's contents to the server you should have a fix.

I found a solution to this.

Assuming you want remove all the jQuery code Classifieds uses on the forum index page, you need to make a slight change to the template:
dbtech_classifieds_css

Find:
Replace with:
That should fix the issue. Just remember that in future updates you might need to check the changes made to that template (though they are likely to be very few if any) to keep the mod up to date.

There's not a current way to do that in the Mod atm (we'll be adding that in the next major update) but it is possible to do it via a SQL query from your vBulletin ACP.

Hm, I just uploaded the new files and the error still occurs. More specifically, I:

1) Go to DBTech - Classifieds > Manage Listing Lengths
2) Choose "Remove" from the dropdown next to a listing length
3) Click "Yes" on the "are you sure" screen
4) Get the Invalid: 0 error

Hi everyone,

This week we have an bug fix update for DragonByte Classifieds (v1.1.9) fixing some missing phrases and minor bugs, but also including an update so that listing items that haven't been paid are now displayed more clearly to the seller and buyer. This includes highlighting on the My Listings and My Classifieds pages, as well as a notification on each page of the site in the Notifications bar. Additionally sellers can now send an email reminder to the buyers, and both seller and buyer are notified when a transaction is marked as paid or completed.

Thanks again to everyone who keeps us up to date with new ideas and any issues. Version 2 is progressing and we'll be looking forward to getting some screenshots out of some of the new features as they progress.

I have looked and haven't found it. Is there a place to change the ad types? Right now there is Buy Now, Auction and Wanted I think. Can I change the names or add other selections?

Has anybody figured out how to make a widget to show the latest classifieds in the CMS?

For the postage settings, is there not a way that the user can enter the amount for UPS, FedEx and etc. per ad?

OK..I'm sorry but I've got one more question also. Where the heck do the blocks inherit their style variables from? For example, the "Seller Information" block? I have no other blocks or anything on my forum or CMS that have a solid red background. Where is it coming from?

I figured out the image problem. It was because of some strange places that it inherits it's styles from. Got sorted though. Also figured out the postage question. Still have the other questions though.

Also, just in case somebody else runs into it. I started getting a lot of database errors. They were caused by a very temporary install off OzzModz Classifieds. If you have ever installed that one and find, like I did, that it doesn't meet your needs. Just clicking "uninstall" doesn't cut it. You will have to manually remove the files that you uploaded. Not a big deal but maybe it will help somebody else.

So, still need to know if there is a place to configure more ad types. Buy, Sell, Trade, Auction, etc. Is that a manual template edit? Surprises me.

Does anybody know the code to create a widget? I thought maybe it didn't need one when I saw the sidebar display option but I'm not getting anything there.
