Did you ever get it sorted for images, so it would auto re size images which are being pulled in?

There is a new version, currently in closed beta, that has better options for the images. Its still not 100% perfect unfortunately, but I feel it is a big improvement over the current version. The new version adds a lot of new functionality, which to me was needed more than the image resizing. With that said, image manipulation will most likely be the next on the list.

I love most of your mods but i think many times we are being ripped off in to buying the Pro version for such things that would be great in the lite version

Would you consider adding the ability to grab the first image from a thread to show in the slider instead of the attachment to the lite version ?

Awesome sauce with this one :) Thank you for the custom content, exactly what I needed. I modified the css with a couple tweaks to reposition the images, hope that was ok.

=/ Kind of a confusing statement there to be honest. Either you think the pro versions are ripoffs, in which case we should be removing features from the lite version and making them pro only, or you think the lite versions should get more pro features, in which case there would be no incentive for people to purchase the pro versions.

The entire idea is to have features people will like/want in the pro version to encourage them to make the purchase :).

We don't tend to move features from pro to lite, so it's extremely unlikely this will happen unfortunately.

The product will most likely go open Beta this week. As with most of our products, Beta versions are Pro only. Once it goes Gold, a lite version will be released. I figure this should be within the next couple of weeks.

Installed this nice mod on my test server and using it on my CMS pages.
The widget shows fine but I have a small issue with selecting the forums where the info should be pulled:

Can only 1 forum be selected or multiple?
For some reason in my adminCP I have 2 options with same option text (see screenshot).
What is the difference between those 2?
I can select only 1 forum in the first option but in the 2nd option I can select multiple.
However even by doing this and selecting multiple forums in the 2nd option the widget shows only info from 1 forum instead of multiple

I've seen this occur on a couple of instances before. I'll need to look back through some reports to see what the reason was. Its an odd issue, as it rarely occurs.

Do you happen to have vBEditorTabs installed as well?

Did the fix for showing soft deleted blogs ever make it into the product. I believe you gave me a fix on your website, I was just wondering if it made it into one of the real releases?

Yes, this has been fixed in the most recent beta, currently only available as a pro product. The lite version will be released soon.

Any way we can choose to take articles form categories rather than sections? I have a section with many categories and pulling from the parent section just doubles up whats showing on the homepage.

just want to confirm that you can now have the image centered instead of top down in the slider... If so I am purchasing!!
Also can you decide how high and wide the slider as a whole is?

you can have the image location Left, Right or Top
and no, as far as I can see, the widget is fixed to your forums or cms settings

So still no centering image in slider? I was told yes.
My large issue with this plugin is that if oyu have an image that is larger than the slider, it is justified from the top down and you cannot see what is in the photo. It needs to be center left to right and center top to bottom for it to be worth spending money on for me.
Clarify if I have it wrong please.

The images below are from the vBSlider v3, currently in open beta. I need to work on getting it to gold and releasing a lite version for here, but have been working 65+hrs/week the last few weeks at my normal job, so finding time to work on this has been hard.

The username/pw you sent to me doesn't allow me to access the vBSlider admin settings, so I can't troubleshoot that one.

It is showing up fine for me on the CMS. Its not showing on the forum, but that may be because I am not registered? The username/pw you sent doesn't work on this site.

I have a problem with the links that product shows. I have the forum link like forum.mysite.com and the cms is located in mysite.com, so the links in the slider looks like http://www.forum.mysite.com/content....of-the-article and when I click on him it loads www.mysite.com/132-title-ofthe-article when the actual link is http://www.mysite.com/content.php?r=...of-the-article. I hope I was clear in my explication and hope it is easy to fix. Thanks!

It appears the table didn't get created during the install. You can either try re-running the install (re-import the product), or run the query manually. You can find the query in the file /dbtech/vbslider/install/100.php, starting on line 121. If you have a table prefix on your forum, then replace
with your prefix (for example, if your prefix is vb_, then the first line should look as follows: )
If you don't have a table prefix, just delete that part of the code, so the first line would look like

I've made the modifications you've said and now all the links redirect me to www.forum.mysite.com.
