It's compatible with DBTech's Thanks mod, we unfortunately can't guarantee compatibility with every Thanks mod out there :(

This is a stupid mode.It overloaded the forum.

DragonByte Tech 09-05-2012 04:58 PM

I'm not entirely sure what the point of your comment is, it's not exactly what I'd call constructive critisism, but thank you for taking the time to comment :)

You are welcome.

I've tried to install a few times to our 4.2 forum, but the ACP functions won't work. When I click any of the functions I get this browser error: The requested URL /test/sec_adm/ajaxthreads.php was not found on this server.

Sure enough the files aren't there. Are those files supposed to be placed in that folder by the install script? I put all the other files in the folders where they belong and have checked several times to make sure they're all there.

I can see that it's installed because I see the message at the tops of forums, but there's no way for me to change any of the settings.

No, you need to manually upload the contents of the /upload/admincp dir to your sec_adm folder.

Ok, thanks. But that's a little confusing since I have an admincp folder in forums/ and the zip archive also has an admincp folder but no sec_adm folder.

DragonByte Tech 09-08-2012 01:22 PM

That's because I have no way of knowing what you customised your AdminCP folder to be :p

By default, the folder is called admincp. You chose to rename it, I cannot account for that. It's your responsibility to check that all mods that upload files to the admincp and modcp folders go in your renamed folders instead.

Is it also possible to stop the mod from automatically scrolling down the newest post?

It doesn't do that?

No, it always shows the newest post on the bottom of the page, which is also quite anoying when you're trying to quick reply

Unfortunately not, no. That'd be the vBulletin function to init the postbit, which we have to use in order to make stuff like Quick Edit and such work :(

this still happens. I got rid of the manual fix from a while back, so basically I get the prompt to Refresh or Stay on the Page quite often, it seems like it happens if someone maybe posts at the same time as me but that has never been consistent. All I know is that it happens often when there's more traffic than usual, maybe 3-8 people discussing a topic in real time, like a sports game in progress.

It just seems to defeat the purpose of "live" automatic refreshing when about 1/3 of the time the screen has to refresh completely itself.

DragonByte Tech 10-22-2012 01:20 PM

Unless it can be reliably reproduced, I have no way of debugging it :(

You may want to consider enabling error logging to file in your PHP setup, so you can see if there's any PHP errors that are intermittent.

Fillip

Merlok 11-19-2012 06:11 PM

Is there a way to disable or delete the image which says "LIVE" in front of all threads in bold red? This looks really strange in my forum.

DragonByte Tech 11-20-2012 10:25 PM

Disable the threadbit display plugin for this mod :)

Fillip

Merlok 11-22-2012 04:10 PM

Thanks. :)
That solved my problem.

Zakalway 02-18-2013 05:29 AM

Is there any way to have Metafilter-style new post alert behavior?

IE: If there are no new posts, nothing shows up. When they're are there, a little box pops up with how many new posts there are, and asks if you want to see more. It also tells you to reload the page when it goes too long with no updates. It works a little bit like how new tweets are loaded on Twitter.

My users really love the plugin and I've gone ahead and bought the pro version, but they really don't like how the automatic updates work now.

DragonByte Tech 02-20-2013 03:11 PM

Unfortunately that would require a significant re-write of the way the mod works :(

You can post a suggestion in our forums: http://www.dragonbyte-tech.com/forumdisplay.php?f=107 and we'll take it into consideration :)

where is the found?

cnczone 03-24-2013 06:11 AM

Found it. But the hack does not seam to work, If I click refresh nothing happens.

Alan_SP 03-24-2013 04:00 PM

You need to have new posts, for refresh to work.

DragonByte Tech 04-02-2013 08:37 PM

AJAX Threads v1.1.2
Feature: You can now disable the "Live" image via a vBulletin Option
Feature: Improved logging details for Control Panel actions
Change: Changed the Branding display method to inject itself into the copyright footer (underneath vBulletin copyright) instead of the page footer.
Change: Changed the Branding Free Key to a more secure key.

Since upgrading to 4.2.1 the live updated posts don't always have the quick reply, edit post, quote, etc., area showing it's just blank:

I'm unable to replicate this issue. Can you try disabling all other products and seeing if the issue still occurs?

Hey :)
As per the OP of all our mod releases, you should post on our support forum for quicker support.
vBulletin.org support is always going to be delayed due to the fact that it's much harder for us to support multiple products on this site as opposed to our own.

Yep, still happens.

Have you tested this on 4.2.1 yet?

DragonByte Tech 05-16-2013 08:10 PM

Yeah, my dev board and our live forum both run 4.2.1.

Disabled products and it still happens, not sure what to do. Everything refreshes except for the part where you can click quote, reply, etc.

DragonByte Tech 06-03-2013 03:30 PM

If the product is disabled then it's obviously not an issue in our mod, you may wish to disable all hooks via the vBulletin Options setting and if it still occurs, contact vBulletin support.

Fillip

If it was working with 4.2.0 and I made no changes except for 4.2.1 how do you it isn't your mod?

DragonByte Tech 06-05-2013 05:01 PM

Sorry, I don't understand how that means it's our mod's fault if our mod is disabled.

All vBulletin plugins follow the same rule; if it is disabled it has no way of inserting itself into vBulletin processes like threads.

can we purchase without logging/registering in your forum?

No, an account with a confirmed email address is required, sorry :(

I downloaded this, but whenever I install it, the installation goes fine. But then, there's a SQL error, any way to fix this?

Invalid SQL:

SELECT
userfield.*, usertextfield.*, user.*, UNIX_TIMESTAMP(passworddate) AS passworddate, user.languageid AS saved_languageid,
IF(displaygroupid=0, user.usergroupid, displaygroupid) AS displaygroupid,
language.phrasegroup_global AS phrasegroup_global,
language.phrasegroup_dbtech_notifications AS phrasegroup_dbtech_notifications,
language.phrasegroupinfo AS lang_phrasegroupinfo,
language.options AS lang_options,
language.languagecode AS lang_code,
language.charset AS lang_charset,
language.locale AS lang_locale,
language.imagesoverride AS lang_imagesoverride,
language.dateoverride AS lang_dateoverride,
language.timeoverride AS lang_timeoverride,
language.registereddateoverride AS lang_registereddateoverride,
language.calformat1override AS lang_calformat1override,
language.calformat2override AS lang_calformat2override,
language.logdateoverride AS lang_logdateoverride,
language.decimalsep AS lang_decimalsep,
language.thousandsep AS lang_thousandsep

FROM vbuser AS user
LEFT JOIN vbuserfield AS userfield ON (user.userid = userfield.userid)
LEFT JOIN vbusertextfield AS usertextfield ON (usertextfield.userid = user.userid) LEFT JOIN vblanguage AS language ON (language.languageid = IF(user.languageid = 0, 1, user.languageid))

WHERE user.userid = 1 LIMIT 1;

MySQL Error : Unknown column 'language.phrasegroup_dbtech_notifications' in 'field list'

I'm currently using vBulletin v4.2.1 and it's the Lite version.
Thanks.

datoneer 08-04-2013 11:03 AM

It works in 4.2.1 thank you

KaayVan 08-04-2013 11:26 PM

How? I get that error.

DragonByte Tech 08-04-2013 11:59 PM

Your error is not related to this mod, either you have incorrectly uninstalled vBNotifications (forgot to remove the files) or your installation is corrupt and you should re-import the XML.

Fillip

But I'm trying to install vBThreads not Notifications. And, I've restarted many times... Download, extract. Upload whatever inside the upload folder, and import the XML via the AdminCP?

DragonByte Tech 08-07-2013 02:27 PM

That doesn't matter, the error says dbtech_notifications which is a part of our vBNotifications product.

Can you please tell me whether you have at one point had vBNotifications installed?

Fillip
