vBShop v2.0.1:

• Multi-Currency Support
  Those of you interested in selling real-world items should find this a welcome change - you can now have a "special" currency that can only be used for purchasing your special items.
• "Custom Field" Items (w/ purchase notification)
  A new item type has been added, "Custom Item", which in the Lite version is used to house the previous "Gift" items that have no actual functionality. You can be notified when someone buys the item.
• Revamped Shop Layout
  One of the main problems of vBShop v1 was that the layout wasn't exactly stellar, and having Gifts and Items separate was confusing to members. Both these problems have been corrected for v2.
  The layout uses AJAX for adding items to the shopping cart.
• Revamped Purchase Process
  It is now possible to buy more than one item in one go, via the use of a shopping cart. For that reason, we've split the "configuration" from the "purchase" process.
  What this means is, say a member buys "Username Change". Upon completion of their purchase, they will be redirected to their inventory, where they can click "Configure" for the newly purchased item. This is the page that lets them actually change their username.
  The main reason why we implemented this change is that it is now possible to set items to be re-usable. To follow up on the above example, a member may use the item to change their usernames multiple times (either infinitely, or until the item expires.)
• Stock
  Each individual shop can have its own individual stock (and price / currency) of an item.

The following features are missing from vBShop v1.x and will be restored over the course of the next couple weeks:

• Lotteries
  • No data from existing lotteries will be carried over to the final incarnation of vBShop 2.0 lotteries due to the vast differences in data storage and functionality.

Hello! I'm loving the update! The only problem I am seeing with it is that mine only shows up to 6 items per page. When I go to change the Results Per Page it doesn't change anything. There are actually more items on the 2nd page than on the 1st. If I go to 'Sort By:' and select one of the options it then shows 11 of the items on the page, but in all I have 14 in that category. If I go to a different category with only a few items and only one page, it still shows that there is a second page and when I click on it it takes me to the second page of the first category.

Also, if I go to a category and select one of the 'Sort By:' options some of the items disappear as if it's only showing the most valuable one or the most bought items and not the rest.

I hope this all made sense. I am rather tired. Thank you for ready!

That'd be because of the different categories - there's no way to make the per page apply to only the active category.

Help! I messed up bad on installation and can't access my forum or admin cp anymore. I get the message:

You accidentally uploaded the files wrong, please re-upload all vBulletin files and then re-upload the contents of the upload folder for vBShop to your forum root folder. Do not attempt to upload the folders within the upload/dbtech/vbshop folder separately.

Ok, Thanks a bunch, I got it figured out and the forum is running fine again.

Alright, I got the modification uploaded. It shows in adminCP and has a clickable link in the navbar. My next problem is when it's clicked in the navbar it takes me to a page that says 404 page not found. What should I do now?

Please make sure you loaded all the files to their proper location.

The page not found error is because the vbshop.php is not in the admincp folder.

That's another upload problem, follow the above steps and it'll work :)

Hey guys, just putting it out there, for who ever for whatever reason needs to change the hook location in the post bit for the items, just go to line 125 of postbit_display_complete.php and just replace postbit_userinfo_right_after_posts with whatever hook you want to use within the postbit or postbit legacy templates. If it's an outside hook you might have to render which ever template it's on. Any who hope it helps anyone.

hey, this is an amazing plugin i shall say. But the custom item feature i struggle on. I want to say add a custom item say, animated avatar, so users can purchase the permission to use animated avatars instead of needing me to add the permission to them. How would i go around doing this?

It's not an officially supported solution, but you can set the currency manager to use the reputation field :)

I have succesfully use reputation as currency. But member can't earn any point after post a new thread (as i set for 2 points per thread).

Pro version number is the same as Lite :)

The "Post Thank You Hack" can modify that, when they thanks the poster will get a setup number of reputation point. I think we can do the same with this wonderful mod :).

So can our own Thanks mod, but if you can't get it working with vBShop maybe there's something different here, or you used a different field in the currency manager :)

I'm set the currency table to user, and the column is reputation.
It's show extracly the reputation point on vBShop main page, and when i buy something it's also effect to the point. Everything good but the point earn by new post/thread.

I changed the currency to credits instead of points but now it won't let me sell the item back. Is there a way to sell it like with the points currency but using vbCredits?

Edited to add: OK nevermind, I just re-saved the items and now it is showing. :P

Also, is there a way to change/move the order of icons that show up in the postbit? Please forgive me if this has been asked before.

The Pro version allows members to control which items show up in the postbit, but not their specific order.

hi, im currently using the lite version but wanting to get the pro.
Only problem is i dont want to have to re-do everything, shops,categories, items etc as ive spend a while on them.

No, you simply install Pro over Lite, all your data would be intact :)

It appears like you haven't uploaded all the files correctly when upgrading to 2.2.0. Please re-upload the files exactly as they appear in the upload folder.
