Ty so much Paul for kind reply.
I will sort that out in my test forum. (actually I've reverted/downgraded my live forum from 4 to my old 3.7.7) and I plan to keep it live for few more days, untill 4.0 will be more stable and more hacks are ported.

Paul, you Rock and as usual very kind

ciao

The log out problem has long been an issue with the flashchat although it doesnt cause any major hassle it would be nice to be resolved by Tufat

I never saw it b4.
But as Paul has remembered, is just a problem of correct settings/path in the chat admin panel.

Heldenverband 03-26-2010 02:33 PM

I have deactivate it now

Sometime the auto login works , sometime NOT. And if I try to login manually nothing happens.

Rebecca217 03-28-2010 06:51 PM

This is fantastic! Thank you so much! :)

TazDevilLooney 04-14-2010 12:31 AM

Hi paul,

I'm having some problems with the flash chat login screen.

When you use a link like http://mysite/misc.php?do=flash

The chat appears and askes you to logon. Is there anyway of getting this to not display the login when using the link above.

I'd like all my users to go though my VB4 to get to chat and not to use the short cut.

Any help on this would be gratefully recevied. Thanks

Paul M 04-14-2010 10:35 AM

If you have it integrated correctly you will not get the login screen.

shuett 05-06-2010 12:01 PM

Hi
Thanks for the great mod.

I just get a blank page here:
http://www.tasmaniaforums.com.au/mis...ashchat&room=1

Flash chat is installed correct because when I load chat at www.tasmaniaforums.com.au/chat I get the login page as expected.

Can you help?

Kind regards, Sandy

Paul M 05-06-2010 08:04 PM

Getting the login page doesnt mean Flashchat is installed correctly, can you actually get into it when you click login ?

shuett 05-06-2010 09:19 PM

Thanks Paul, Yes I can get into flashchat correctly that way.

Paul M 05-07-2010 04:57 PM

Then I have no idea. They are basically doing the same thing.

shuett 05-09-2010 10:29 AM

Thanks.
I uninstalled and reinstalled - now works fine. Thanks, great mod.

bornoffire 05-28-2010 10:44 PM

I am having same issue as shuett. I tried reinstalling and still get a blank blue flashchat screen.

bornoffire 05-29-2010 06:30 PM

ok got it to work but have a question about customizing the skin. I have looked all over the web for the answer and and can not find it. When making a new theme I get this error "Please insert correct value for field User Interface Transparency:". Also when i try to switch themes it will not change. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. I just edited an existing theme and it worked.

Hostboard 05-29-2010 07:46 PM

Not sure if this has been asked as I honestly did not read through the 200+ posts but would it be possible to add an option as to when chat is available? For example say Wed @ 7pm Then allow for the link to appear and maybe make an announcement in a forum noting it's opening?

bornoffire 05-29-2010 09:43 PM

Its weird it was working and then i unplugged my modem and router, powered them back on, and now it wont let me go into flashchat. Blank blue screen again. but when I leach off of my neighbors internet, I can access it just fine. Also other members have no problems accessing it. Could I of banned my ip from chat somehow?

Nope, there is no such facility.

I'm afraid I cannot answer questions on Flashchat itself. You need their forums.

abdulbasitsaeed 05-30-2010 11:54 PM

Hi Paul. I hope you can help me with what appears to be a trivial issue.

I just installed FlashChat 6.0.7 on my vBulletin forums. Since I wanted the chat to integrate with my own CMS, I used the latest CMS files provided by Paul, and completed the installation. The installation asked for Admin account / password, for which I gave my own admin credentials and gave dummy ones for the Mod and Spy mode.

After that, I have also installed these 2 modifications successfully:

Flashchat 6 Integration for vBulletin 4.0

FlashChat 6: Admin Panel Integration

At the moment, I am facing two problems:

1. I can log into the chat from: http://forums.pakfellows.com/chat/index.php but when I try to log in from the Navigation bar link, i.e. http://forums.pakfellows.com/misc.ph...ashchat&room=1, the chat never works. The blue screen appears and that's it.

2. I can NOT enter the Admin CP and make any changes. When I enter my credentials, it appears to have logged in, but when I click on "Rooms" or "Configuration", it gives me the log in page once again. I have tried this both from the vBulletin integrated Admin CP as well as from the stand alone Admin CP of FlashChat as well.

Could you very kindly help me?

Paul M 05-31-2010 02:01 PM

There is no way I could tell you whats wrong without admin and ftp access. I suggest you check you have installed everything correctly. JFYI, Im also away for a few days as of tomorrow.

abdulbasitsaeed 05-31-2010 04:59 PM

I see. Well, I guess I'll wait for you to return Paul. :)

I have this same issue.

If I load it www.mysite.com/chat it works fine. (Well, the autologin doesn't work, but that's a tufat issue, not the mod I'm assuming)

But if I load it from the link in the menu www.mysite.com/misc.php?do=flashchat&room=1 I get an autoload attempt followed by the dreaded flashchat *oops* sound and the error message: Incorrect user name or password. Please try again.

kingmotox 06-08-2010 09:30 PM

how can i show "chatters online" below "users online" on the bottom of the forum?

rockabilly 06-13-2010 02:53 AM

Hello,
I installed flashchat 6.08 to my vb4.0.3 and it works perfectly, except when you click on a user to view their profile. I get this error message:

"Your submission could not be processed because a security token was missing.

If this occurred unexpectedly, please inform the administrator and describe the action you performed before you received this error."

I saw an earlier post in this thread by a guy who had the same problem, but I did not see any fix posted for it. This is the only bug I have with this great integration mod. I hope there is a fix for this.

Thanks in advance!

Paul M 06-13-2010 09:13 PM

There is no fix because it works fine. I have 6.0.8 and 4.0.3 installed.

Make sure you are using the CMS file supplied by this mod, not the default FC version.

Xencored 06-23-2010 02:03 AM

Hi Paul
Am new to this flash chat. i bought the chat installed it fine and installed your mod fine.
now this is my problem (like i said am new to this) when i did a test chat it says this
[Vodkaholic] 3:59 am [undefined]:

Am not sure if its this mod or the Flash chat side i know you posted about not been chat support (if this is to do with them) than i will post in there forums

But anyway if you could tell me which side this problem is i know where i am :D

Paul M 06-23-2010 12:49 PM

That is a Flashchat issue.

I was unable to install flashchat 6.0.8 and integrated into vBulletin 4.0.4 using the vbulletin40CMS.php file contained in this zip. Has anyone successfully done this yet? I get to step 2 of the flashchat installation and it reported that it was unable to detect my login settings. I understand this problem was fixed with 4.0.3 but it may be back again.

The CMS file in this zip works fine. I have it working with 4.0.4 & 6.0.8. I dont know what you are referring to with 4.0.3, no problem existed to fix. The only CMS issue was back when 4.0.1 was released in January, and that was fixed back then.

beatyourtruck 06-29-2010 01:40 AM

Hi Paul. I think I messed this up by uploading the current CMS file instead of the new one, then I imported the XML. Yes I read the "(Make sure you do this before step 4)" and thought I did LOL Wrong file, stupid one on my part. The link shows in the Community dropdown but it gives me this:
vBulletin Message
Flashchat does not appear to be correctly installed.

So disabled it, reuploaded, still get the message. Tried uninstalling it, reuploaded and still the same message.

Looks like I messed something up! I can still just add a tab and link it that way as it seems like the only thing not working is the link? Login integration works nice when I just paste the FC link into a browser when logged onto my forum. Takes me right in and shows me as the admin.

Thanks for any help....sorry for the slip up.

vB 4.03 by the way....doesn't sound like that matters.

Paul M 06-29-2010 10:25 AM

Im a bit unclear on what your actually question is ?

beatyourtruck 06-29-2010 06:26 PM

Sorry Paul. The link shows in the Community dropdown but it gives me this:

vBulletin Message
Flashchat does not appear to be correctly installed.

Is this an error the integration element has delivered or is it from FC? Not sure if I have screwed up the integration or the FC install? I tried a complete remove and install of FC last night and get the same error.

Paul M 06-29-2010 07:36 PM

Thats an error message from the integration - it cannot find your flashchat installation.

beatyourtruck 06-30-2010 12:51 AM

Ok. Thanks Paul. I did install FC into a folder with a special name. I dug through the XML and found a location to change....I'll give that a whirl! :)

EDIT - not worth the time. changed my folder back to chat, reinstalled and everything works fine so far. Sorry to have wasted your time.

Paul M 06-30-2010 07:30 AM

No problem. Thats what the red message is about on the main post. :)

onlyamd4000 07-03-2010 07:12 AM

Everything has installed correctly and seems to be working fine other than the auto login. I have installed everything properly and triple checked my actions. It seems that the username that flashes by on the bottom is int_1 which is not even close to my username. Could you maybe point me in some direction to get this chat communicating with my user database? Does it matter if you use stateless or registered during the install process? I used registered. Anyways, the problem is that it says invalid username and or password when logging in flashcaht through vbulletin automatically. Thank you

VB 4.0.2
FC 6.0.8

Paul M 07-03-2010 09:33 PM

Please read the support note in purple. :)

steve71 07-14-2010 12:56 AM

* Flashchat can be displayed embedded inside a 'standard' vBulletin Page (i.e. not full screen).

How can it be displayed fullscreen?

wd4x4 07-14-2010 11:43 AM

Can this be setup/used for person to person chat only ?

Thats really a Flashchat question, not a question about this mod - however, yes, F/C has the ability for members to have private chats with each other.
