I am facing a very strange problem. Earlier as itrader admin I was unable to view detailed feedback and instead was taken to the thread url. Now non admins are unable to view the detailed feedback (no permission message) and are instead taken to the thread url.

Can anyone help out with this?

ok, "logically", if you did nothing to your installation, that kind of situation CAN NOT occur...

btw, i'll check to update the 3.8.x compatible version of iTrader to debug all your situations in the next days/weeks... i'm up to work, so i may have time for all these... *(or not)

is the new version 2.8 working with vbulletin 3.8

Just installed this on 3.8.7. Uploaded files n the correct directories and made sure cmod was set to 644.

Nothing shows up and I cannot view itrader due to lack of permissions. I am an admin. Any clues?

I've been informed lately of a flaw found in the vB 4.x version of this engine, that was put into quarantine until fixed... some possibilities of malicious injections were detected in the 2.8.x version and Entertain fixed them and updated his release last week.

That is no way related to the 2.5 version you're looking at right now?! This 2.5 version was never tagged with any flaw or vulnerabilities. with more than 230 alleged installs and 1300++ downloads, nobody was ever able to report a flaw that would make your site at risk... or it would be in the quarantine right now and i would've correct the problem.

Updates and releases of the vb 3.8x version

It has been 2 years and a half this release was made, and i never had to release an update of it, because from the start it was tagged as "Not Supported". May i remember everyone who claimed to be fooled by me that i was not the one who fooled you here? It was indicated from the start that i released this version to fix the bugs of the latest version, add features and let everyone have access to it to let their 3.8 vBulletin forum up with their iTrader... It was not intended to upgrade its features right away, because i had no time to focus on new features, only bug fixes, which i did for a period - until vB 4.0 though...

so what's up now why i post here again?...

Not to say i will support it here on vB.org, because i am not supporting legacy versions here, it's too complicated. but i am supporting it on my official site. It's paid support, it's not open to "everybody", so i'm not giving it as the ultimate solution... but it's the only thing i can do right now...

i've read that people were grouping to have a paid support and updates for the script... so why not focus on that?! we can discuss about it, for sure. i can work on the 2.5.0 version right now to make it better for vBulletin 3.8.x, and if possible, Entertain would add the changes to his version if found interesting. though, i do not think it would be appropriate to re-release it as a paid script, anyway i'm not interested to do so... it's just my time that is used to pay for the food my 8 kids need everyday...

So, yes, i could add more features if people with a 3.8.x forum are still willing to use iTrader, i just need to see what's more interesting from you.

I don't believe this is the culprit however I've been known to be wrong on occasion yet from what I understand only the 4.x version was affected and your site is 3.x. Have you considered it might be vBSEO? Your site shows 3.5.2 in the footer, are you aware a exploit was in that code for well over a year and never included in the official product? So with that said at least check into it and ensure you know 100% how your site was hacked before posting such statements of suspicion sound fair enough?

If you have definitive proof of this being the culprit please submit it promptly and staff will review and remove the mod if required just as the 4.x version was recently until patched.

I have enabled itrader and enable setting for showing itrader menu in navbar but its not showing. Its also not showing feedback score in postbit.....

Which iTrader do I use if I'm using vBullentin 4.2?

I saw something about a graveyard earlier in this thread so it's getting confusing. Do I use this one V 2.5 or the other one v 2.8?

What is the process of upgrading to 4.2 if this mod is installed?

1) Should I first upgrade, uninstall it and install the 4.x version of this mod (iTrader v2.8) ?

2) Uninstall it before upgrading to 4.x then install the 4.x version of this mod after upgrade of forum is complete?

Also, would uninstalling remove the the tables originally created by this mod? What are those tables?

Don't uninstall it, otherwise you will lose your scores. You should upgrade vBulletin and then update the plugin (overwrite product and files).

My moderators are not receiving notifications of reported ratings, even though they are set as allowed to administer iTrader. Could it be because the mods usergroup is not their primary usergroup but it's set as their additional usergroup?

I need to remove this. Do I need to remove any tables from the database when I do?

Strangely, when member A leaves feedback for member B, then member A receives a PM to this effect:

The PM should be going to Member B and be from member A.
