And left a link with red X at bottom think it is because I have a pic in my signature
Hm.m.. damn 8330 :P lol . im not sure if it would have anything to do with the signature... i don't show those.

footose 12-01-2009 02:33 AM

up and running - server

footose 12-01-2009 02:52 AM

I think i figured out why they 8330 is "scrolling slow" - now I just have to find a fix for it.

footose 12-01-2009 02:55 AM

oh, I ment to ask you guys.....

I have the "ability" to add the functionality for you guys to add "advertisements" to your site on BerryBlab.

This would be fully controlled by you, but would allow you to bring in advertising from your mobile site as well as your regular site. Do you think this is something I should start developing further (Will it make / break you using berryblab?) Let me know!

It couldn't hurt, for the premise of adsense atleast.

*Also, once you make a reply to a thread...you have to back out of it in order to refresh the screen/post. So that you're looking at all of the threads in the forum view. The current options are only new thread/close. Would make it quicker, to have a refresh option from this menu.

***This update is more fluid for me. Nice work!

8330 / Alltel 4.5.0.169

org.xml.sax.SAXParseException:Expecting end of file. when trying to get new posts

Nice job on the site

footose 12-01-2009 01:23 PM

xug: can you use the 'report' feature on the berryblab site, that way i know where to look for the problem...

footose 12-01-2009 11:02 PM

Minor bug release for the BerryBlab Blackberry App, version 0.91 is out.

Nothing big, I forgot about a memory thing when doing the last release and I just remember tonight. You shouldn't notice any considerable difference, but I suggest you upgrade when prompted.

NOTE: Sometimes you'll see that I skip version, like for example .89 to .91 - it doesn't mean you personally missed a version, but it might mean that I released a "test" version to certain users as .90, so whenever there is a compile that is public I up the number.

Eric Anderson 12-02-2009 06:00 AM

I see no "report" feature on berryblab.com I see contact on the navbar
still get

org.xml.sax.SAXParseException:Expecting end of file. when trying to get new posts

updated all files on server
and running .91 on BB

Thanks

Hi - this app is SO cool - GREAT idea.

I've got it working on a Bold 9000 - internet forum sites are working.

I'm trying to connect to an intranet forum site but the app is giving the following error:

'net.rim.device.cldc.io.dns.DNSException: Error tyring to resolve'

Figure this has to do with DNS resolution - funny thing is that the blackberry browser resolves the address just fine.

Tried changing the 'settings' to MDS but same issue.

Any thoughts?

mikeo9043 12-03-2009 07:16 AM

I installed this ..it seemed to be working fine but when I go to post something IE: new post or new thread, it says OK! but when i check on the computer, there is no post or thread ...?? Also got an error when trying to view New posts.

EDIT: also getting errors when trying to go to Subscribed and PM's

Phone is BB Curve 8310

Itchy Nips 12-03-2009 01:44 PM

just curious if someone limits guests viewing on their forum, will this app follow those same rules/permissions? I am not limiting guest views so this wont affect me, but I was just curious.

(in case I wasn't clear) ie: if I deny guests/unregistered users from viewing threads/posts on the forum itself, will this app not follow those rules and allow full viewing to guests?

Eric Anderson 12-03-2009 05:09 PM

yes I even have a forum that is for certain usergroups and it shows for them and not any others.

dvsDave 12-04-2009 06:19 PM

Getting an error: When I go to view the latest posts, I get the following error:

Code:

org.xml.sax.SAXParseException: Expecting end of file.

footose 12-05-2009 05:35 PM

FYI: will be doing a release shortly, been working on a few bug fixes / problems mentioned.

I would suggest that if you haven't signed up to BerryBlab.com yet, that you do so.

I will be doing a "press release" on monday on some major twitter accounts that will not only get more users testing BerryBlab but potentially give you thousands of backlinks to your site.

Please send me your URL.

Sometimes you get this problem when the URL's are a bit longer or have extra slashes and stuff. It seems to be a minor error on my part.

It's in the members area.

Register your site, then goto "Add / Edit" sites, and there is a link for reporting problems.

BerryBlab .92 / 0.06 - Dec 5th, 2009
- Applied 3 Retries for "Connection Timeout" errors
- Fixed "New posts" not showing in some descriptions
- Fixed some image problems

jambo_1969 12-06-2009 06:36 AM

I get the error with end tag and start tag [IMG] no matter what forum I try to add...even the test ones above...

Any ideas ?

xug 12-06-2009 01:04 PM

I still got the 'new posts' error after updating just now:

org.xml.sax.SAXParseException: Expecting end of file

footose 12-06-2009 04:29 PM

^^ Will check both today.

0ptima 12-07-2009 12:28 AM

Cant wait for the Storm version to come out!

robdawg 12-07-2009 09:27 PM

I have the Blackberry Bold 9000 and new threads and replies are not showing up.

Good work on this plugin though. EXTREMELY clean. Will put this on my 3 forums once a few things get figured out.

I also got an error on your site when trying to add my forum to your database. Even though I have the plugin installed, and the RL is correct, the system would give me the generic error about 1 of those 2 things being wrong.

footose 12-08-2009 02:13 AM

^^ Rob, assuming this is on your forum listed in your sig, I will check it out tonight for you.

If you can sign up to BerryBlab.com, that would help a lot, request a "support" ticket and add your site info, that way I won't forgot (sometimes I miss people's posts in this thread and i apologize!)

Doing a release tonight for BerryBlab BB only (not the vbulletin plugin).

Some minor fixes, and prepping for the Storm / Storm 2 release next week.

BerryBlab .93 - Dec 7th, 2009
- Fixed some other minor "DNS / Connection" issues
- Reconfigured the "Forum Select" screen to make it similar to my Storm version (for touch screen support)
- Reconfigured the Post Reply screen to match the text size of regular email
- Reconfigured the Post Private message screen to match the text size of regular email

footose 12-08-2009 02:23 AM

Shoot* I just realized that in the vbulletin plug 0.06 of berryblab, i forgot to increase the "version" number

I've uploaded the fix. you can manually update as well

Open "m_functions/index.php"

find echo "0.05";

change the 0.05 to 0.06..and it should allow you to add to berryblab.com

sorry about that!

footose 12-08-2009 03:04 AM

oh.. and teaser for the Storm guys :)

footose 12-08-2009 11:21 AM

New Bug found:

When you need to "login" to see the forums, BerryBlab will give you an error - added to fix list.

Eric Anderson 12-08-2009 03:39 PM

Coop1979 12-08-2009 06:44 PM

Getting the same thing when trying to access my forum for the first time:

org.xml.sax.SAXParseException: Expecting end of file

footose 12-08-2009 07:21 PM

Please send me your URL.

Coop1979 12-08-2009 07:36 PM

PM sent.

footose 12-08-2009 08:42 PM

Also, if you haven't already, dont forget to sign up to http://www.BerryBlab.com to get listed on our Network page.

I have been "breaking" this story to a few of the major twitter and blackberry sites, which will allow you all to get a lot of backlinks (and thus, new users) to your site!

http://berryscoop.com/2009/12/08/ber...ation-in-beta/

If you have problems getting listed on my site for whatever reason, use the contact page to email me and i'll fix it for you!

yahooooh 12-09-2009 02:12 AM

i have arabic site , and utf-8 encoding
does it support this encoding?

yahooooh 12-09-2009 02:14 AM

also i requist:
full support for profiles ,groups, blogs, albums and other features of vbulletin

robdawg 12-09-2009 08:39 PM

I am still having problems adding my forum to your network. Keep getting the error that I do not have the latest version installed when I do.

Let me know if you need any information from me to help you debug.

** NEVERMIND **

Just downloaded the zip again and re-uploaded it and it worked.

ps2wiz 12-10-2009 02:45 AM

I don't have a blackberry, so I can not beta test it but I am looking forward to a final release so implement for my users.

MrRem 12-10-2009 08:07 AM

Is there a way to make the .jad download already sync'd with our forums so users don't have to do anything to be seamlessly browsing our sites with their handsets?

Adding site, i get:
org.xml.sax.SAXParseException:Malformed UTF-8

Site I'm trying to add is http://www.swedishseat.com/
