I don't want to be impolite with you but i think, im my opinion, that a version upgrade should put better things, not remove things that are already implemented and in use by your users.

Sorry but i don't understand your point of view by doing this because i consider that this new version is far poorer than the earlier one.

In any case, i renew my original request, please consider either adding the feature again or put some older version of the plugin online so that your lite version users can chose what they want.

Hello Killerkraft,

Thats your opinion and I cincerelly respect that. However, I disagree that the plugin "got poorer" as you say it.

The lite version has been improved in many ways like the advanced version (cache, layout) and has a new feature to show thumbnail pictures which the old version didn't have.

There is not a written rule or regulation that we can't change the features. We put a feature and take one out...

There are many forums shared our plugin you can always search the internet and find older versions.

Is there a way, if someone were to actually type "http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0468569/" that it would automatically see it as an IMDB link and strip all but the #s required for the IMDB tags?

i.e. "http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0468569/" becomes -> [imdb]048569[/imdb]

(kind of like how passivevid works)

We have a similar feature our "to do list". With this code it seems a litle bit difficult to do that, but it's a fantastic and we will keep working on that.

I'm finding a problem where the link will put a space between the end of the number and the trailing slash... i.e. "http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0468569 /" is the link with the IMDB button, which is not working.

The latest release of the plugin solved that problem. Maybe we missed that in the lite version. I'll look into it.

I would like to purchase this plugin as it seems thats the only way to let the plugin get useful info form imdb, but reading over this thread I don't exactly get a good feeling about support and upgrades...

Is there a premium support system you have in place for people who purchase this plugin?

Incredibly unoptimized. Not only does it drastically increase server load while anyone loads a thread using this BBcode, but it also introduces vulnerabilities.

I'm verry sorry you've got that impression from my responses. I try my very best to anwser all questions in a proper way as fast as I can.

Many lite softwares have the same thing in common: They don't offer much :)
We have a support forum and we pretty much do everything to help which most of premium services wouldn't offer.

I practically installed plugins, helped side by side with the owner. Could we do more, of course ! We are working to improve our service more and more and are open to any kind of suggestion which is in right mind.

v2.6 MOD Now Broken!

This mod seems to now be broken. No images will show up anymore when posting a movie from IMDB. :( Was there a recent change to the IMDB website?

Please see my screenshot. No matter what IMDB movie I try and embed the images no longer show using the pro version of 2.6.

It looks like the "Poster & cast pictures path" is an issue again! PLEASE FIX ASAP :)

IMDB changed their layout almost 2 weeks ago, since then there is some missing info in the advanced version of this plugin (imdb rating & Country) but everything else still works fine.

No the advanced version is broken with no images able to show up any more since the IMDB change. If you embed a new movie since the change no images will show using the advanced version.

I am sure the developer will respond here soon... right???

Unfortunately the images still show as "Photo Not Available". So your file didn't fix the problem for me. I am using the paid for pro version that shows cast photos.

Well I believe as per my mistake earlier this fix thread also was posted when imdb was still working, any new imdb threads (as of 10/12/2010) will not show any information. I am sure the coder is working on a fix especially for those of us that have paid him for a working mod :)

ok strange as this may be it seems only certain imdb movies are coming up with incomplete or no info. I just did one , Gentle Ben 2002 and IMDB brought in all the info and pics.

Me and my patner were very buisy on some projects recently and I couldn't get back to all the support requests that have been made, for that I'm sorry.

As you know IMDB has made some changes lateley and these changes are causing problems fetching data from imdb.

We are currently working on a permanent fix rather than quick one. There are also some developements that will change our approach to the plugins future. I will update this thread when the time arrives.

Thanks to the developer for the reply... I look forward to the new version and fix. I have a blog that depends heavily on your mod here and we are thrown back into a standstill without it.

Temporarily I am using a embed site bb code...

I have the pro version and as others, myself, and the developer have stated it doesn't work for those using the bought full version.

We are still awaiting a paid for fix please!
