can the auto usergoup b set based on the donation amount ??? payments lesser than $100 to an usergroup and higher payments to higher donor user - group ?

one problem i am having, for some reason user IP addresses show up in the list of users who donated. is this normal?

also, sometimes a donation shows up that never went through.. for example, in the list of donations... i see the IP address as the donator, and the donation of 100 dollars (which never showed up on paypal)


has app been tested for sql injection?

IP address is shown when unregistered/not logged in user donated.

You may wish to block guests from accessing donate system.

Be noted that all donations needs to be marked as confirmed manually. If they are on the list it must not be that they have really donated. Check you PayPal account, then mark true donations as confirmed.

1- put "add credit" instead of "donate"
2- dont show donation goal, only "add credit"
3- add a field in postbit legacy showing the credit of the user

I just need help with one thing...

I added the button for Donate to my custom style's navbar. It shows up...but for some reason there is a highlight around it.

yes a work , great job , the first time i try a dind't work then i look at the file and the string that you posted it is the wrong one this is the srting that you should look for "misc.php?do=donate" and not "misc.php?'.$session['sessionurl'].'do=donlist" , anyway with this different a work fine , so do the changes to the right string

what is the difference in add user to new usergroup and moving user to new usergroup ??
I want the user to be promoted to donor group, once he donates, so which should be the option selected

Move - new user's primary group will be Donor.

Add - user will become member of Donor group while primary group setting is untouched.

well paypal takes 2.9% and 0.30 cents each donation , anybody with more brain then mine to show the real ammount on the donation bar ??

Love the mod, but is there a way to "promote" donators to a usergroup depending on the amount they donated? Example I have 2 usergroups, "contributor" and "VIP" $1-$10 would be upgraded to contributor and any amount over $10 would be VIP. Also is there a way to show the amount each user has donated like this?

Alright, I am bowing my head in shame. I have read and read all 15 pages of this thread. There has to be something that I am missing.

Here is my issue...

After a donation is made, there is a button labeled 'Return to Merchant' which goes to this link:

This displays a page for the FAQ about Smilies. I have seen others mention this but I can not find a direct answer to how to fix it.

Opps, I replied to the thread relating to this mod in the 3.7 mods forum. Looking for a little guidance as to where to edit the navbar as the auto template did not work (not sure why) If anyone could suggest a resource for template editing guidelines I would appreciate it,

Some questions:
Is there a way to force users to be logged in to use this?
For subscriptions does it know if they cancel?
and requests:
Place them in different groups based on donation level.
Remove them if they cancel when there next payment would have been due.
Option to remind users when there status ends after canceling.

Can anyone suggest a method for displaying the live Paypal Donation Progress Bar on a non VB page?

I saw that there is a template called "cyb_paypal_donbar" I wonder if maybe this can be split off into a .php file somehow and then done as an include of another non-vb, php page. Any ideas or suggestions much appreciated!

after going to paypal to make donation, returning to the forum sends you to the "smilies" page instead of the "thank you" page

you should be returning to:
yoursite.com/forum/misc.php?do=donate_thanks

but instead are returning to:
yoursite.com/forum/misc.php?merchant_return_link=Return+to+Offroad+Pa ssport

- the fix mentioned by cybernetic in post #77 seems to already be included in the latest versions, but this still does not fix the current problem.

- the problem is with the current way paypal is working, not just the CYB - Donate mod. if you look at the source of final paypal page, you will see they are receiving the correct return url "yoursite.com/forum/misc.php?do=donate_thanks" but instead of linking to that url, they are doing a Form GET command which obliterates the "?do=donate_thanks" with their own usless querystring. cybernetic, i assume paypal now has a way to pass not only a return url, but also some return querystring params... to busy to look into it right now, this would be the ideal fix.

- this fix is a hack and *could* interfere with other products you might have that link to and then return from paypal

Instead of having this mod automatically insert a link in the navbar and Quick Links menu, I opted to do the manual edits per your instructions.

Here's the issue. Both links...navbar and Quick Links appear where they are supposed to, except for the following pages:

• My Arcade page
• My New Posts page

Is there a reason why this is happening?

I tried to have the mod auto insert the links via the mod's options, but it didn't work for the navbar link. It only worked for the Quick Links link...but still...the donator's list link wouldn't show on the New Posts page, either.

I'm at a loss and would appreciate any help you have to offer.

Beware of this plugin. Someone found a way to donate without paying on my site. If you're using it to give some kind of service, always check Paypal.

Paypal has the ability to send back a confirmation of payment. I don't see why this plugin can't use it.

Huh? This plugin is not responsible for someone knowing your paypal email to submit a payment. Its only able to track any payments that are done through its panel. Nothing more.

Using it for a service, was never a claim by CYB. Learn 2 read so that you understand what to expect and not toss crap at the author.

I believe I figured this out. Depends on what goal basis is used: Month, Month w/ Custom Reset, or Year.

Actually it can. Hens the 'SUBSCRIPTION' option. Although this feature doesn't even work.

There is some valid sentiment in both posts.This isn't the right way to present your hopes and dreams for a plugin. As the plugin stands, it does a good job and it works correctly. Plus it is both freely coded and freely supported so you should check your attitude at the door.
I do remember that there used to be a donation plugin that worked with Paypal's IPN service and I loved it because I did not have to manually check my paypal email and tick off the correct donations.

It would be awesome if cyb's did this, but I'm just happy anyone is maintaining a great solution for the newest version of vBulletin, and it works.

Subscription works just fine. If it didn't, then so many more ppl would have erroneously complained like yourself.

The prerequisite, as stated in the OP, is that the receiving Paypal account MUST be Premier/Business level.

+1 to nogerorob. As for the IPN, to me that is personal preference to setup.
