I need this also. I have a bunch of unanswered threads where my Mods could pick the answer. I need to spend my admin time on other things.

i bought a premium version as well.. when I turn it on using the forum options when i visit the page it pops up with a mysql error.. 1.0.2 is premium version release number that gave me this problem.. however the actual thread was viewable and worked fully selecting which answer was the best.. however i had to make the thread before I could turn on the hack in the forum.

As said earlier, this is absolutely necessary before I can begin using this product, which is unfortunate because I paid for the premium version several weeks ago.

I've made this modification on my forum and seems to be working fine, but before posting here what to change, I would prefer for Gio~Logist to say if I can do it or not (or even better, to know from him if he's working on a solution that most probably will be better than mine).

Regardless of that, I can say that the required modifications are really easy and if you really need this, it's just a 10 minutes look for-and-change task.

Sorry it took so long, been working pretty much on all these modifications at once with adding features and support and what not :p

Anyways, this feature is now available solely in the premium version :up:

i would buy this addon, if it allows to select and deselect more than 1 thread as "best answer". Imo, this is a must have feature.

Second this... Right now I have a thread prefix setup that reads simply 'question'. It would be even cooler if a prefix could be the trigger to make it a 'question thread'.

Btw, this functionality + the option to designate a thread as a question is a feature of community server 2008.5.

Also, in CS 2008.5 the best answer is moved up under the first post and is marked as such (although they should actually move it and not duplicate it as it is messy when the best chosen answer is the next post). See this post as an example: http://dev.communityserver.com/forums/t/504289.aspx

Sorry about the Avtar question. I meant that the Best Answer filed just below to the first post is not having an Avtar. I haven't seen the best answer post is still there.

Does anyone know - when u are in forumdisplay and its designated as a Answer forums - over to the right is set blocks of code,showing you how many unanswerd threads there are etc

How can i call these blocks into my forum index page (forumhome) as i have a side menu already and some of these would fit in there well so members can see unanswered Threads as soon as they hit the main page.

Lasto, I think you are referring to the Premium product here. The Premium Product is 100% supported on www.provb.org for obvious reasons (we can't support premium products on vb.org of course). No ticket goes unread there, check it out for yourself ;)

I check here on the free version every-so-often to make sure things are still in order. But even then, Premium support can only be given on ProvB. This thread is only for the Light product.

i have a little problem. at my forums all guests can create new threads & replys, and so they can mark the best answer! how can i change this to members only?

(only members + threadstarter + userid6 can mark the best answer?)

Question; I would like to put an icon-image before unanswered and answered. I tried in admin-> Phrase Manager, with <img scr="link-to-image"> but i only see the icon (don't know the name) as i need a plugin for my browser to see the image.

How can i fix it please?

You can always add a conditional to not display the post. It can be done both via templates or php. Via templates it may be slightly sensitive towards the overall posts on the page (it will probably be once less, since you're skippin' one) - unless it's done through a php and create a plugin.

I believe i got this covered via email some time ago. However, for others with the same issue, just rename the file and manually add .zip to the end. For future reference, please use provb, email, or pm to contact me in regards to the premium version, don't want this topic to cause any trouble with the org :p
