Hmm, nope, wasn't vBSEO since I just disabled it but YouTube still won't work. I also just tried overwriting Passive Video but that didn't fix it either... GRRRRR!

tylercruz 11-30-2009 06:25 PM

Skydiver, are you using the pro version?

Because youtube changed something in the way it's delivered and the passive video has to be updated in the youtube code to reflect that change... and its not.

tylercruz 11-30-2009 07:45 PM

I have now uninstalled PassiveVideo since they refused to give any support on the recent YouTube issue, so I uninstalled and switched to AME, which I was able to get to work with YouTube by disabling extraction on the YouTube setting.

It can't still be working for you???? Can it? It just recently stopped. Are you still able as of today to insert YT url's?

Skydiver10 12-07-2009 12:32 PM

Just posted one right now, see for yourself:

Here is another one I just posted to make sure it is working:

Have you uninstalled it and tried re-installing it yet?

Check my forum and you'll see it in operation in vB 4.0.1.

www.theparacast.com/forum

There are a couple of mods we were able to salvage. The rest didn't work until updated or replaced with something different.

Peace,
Gene

Do you have any plans to post what you had to do to get it to work with vB 4.0.*

Nothing of note to report.

I disabled all plugins before the installation. It took a few days to get the style redone to fit the 4.0 design, and then I tested the plugins to see which ones worked. This one did not require any changes -- not that I'm capable of fiddling with the code anyway except for very, very minor stuff.

Peace,
Gene

Hello Gene,

I try to install it on my testforum but when I activate the addon and make a new thread I only get:

Quote:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '<' in /srv/****/includes/class_core.php(4031) : eval()'d code on line 68
When I deactivate everything works fine again.

Greetings
Hans

I installed the PassiveVideo200_Lite and it failed to work, again. So I uninstalled it as I did when I was using vB 3.8 because it wouldn't work with it either and then installed passiveVid 1.1.2 and it is working also as it did when I was using vB 3.8. Thanks for trying it out and reporting on it.

OBTW. I have a number of mods installed and I did not uninstall anything. I just did a typical install on top of all my others and it works. It does leave the YT URL link on top but I can live with that.

OK -- I figured out how to fix the problem with IE giving errors on page with vBadvanced using the Lite version of Passivee Video:

Go to manage plug ins -- edit parse_templates
Copy the code in plugin to Word Pad
Replace all
Code:

src='clientscript
with
Code:

src='{$vbulletin->options['bburl']}/clientscript
I hope this save people the time I could have saved with clear instructions somewhere.

Problem:

When I post v?deos from youtube using Internet explorer or any browser that supports WYSWYG the video is showing up duplicated.

Here is the code created when I use the wyswyg:
PHP Code:

 [URL="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MjXU7I6aBpA&feature=player_embedded"][url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MjXU7I6aBpA&feature=player_embedded]YouTube - Grupo Niche Gotas De Lluvia[/url][/URL]

Any Help??

I try the reinstallation several times but doesn't work.

Thanks.

Rafa-el 04-04-2010 02:49 PM

Confirmed, is a bug on this plugin...

Hope a fix in the next upgrade...

James T Brock 04-19-2010 06:14 AM

Does this or the pro version work properly with vbseo?

That post you linked doesn't make any sense, it was someone who didn't understand how the hack even works.

My forum also has this problem, any solutions?

I used to have that. One thing I did is if there is a line under the URL then backspace once to take out the line. However if the backspace takes out a character also, then just put the character back in; there not anything you can do about it.

NeXuM 07-03-2010 07:04 AM

will it work with vb 3.6.4 ?

sorry... it does not work... error..

masterweb 09-10-2010 06:43 PM

works with vBulletin 4.0.6 too?, please let me know.

jdebler 09-16-2010 04:51 PM

I'd really like to buy the full version, but the site URL results in a 404.

masterweb 09-20-2010 04:59 PM

Anyone here?, any chance to have it working on a 4.0.6 and up forums?

mbkerk 09-21-2010 12:48 AM

Forgive me if this has been covered... I could not find it using the search function for this mod.

Photobucket changed something (I think having mp4 video) and this mod no longer works like it used to. You are taken to a photobucket page instead of viewing the video in the post.

Has anyone else worked around this?

Thanks!

wd4x4 10-01-2010 11:36 AM

Can't get 2.0 anymore ? Coders site is 404 MIA ?

Crimm 10-01-2010 02:11 PM

Site is GONE!

Great. Time to just find a new product :(

Passive Video was AWESOME too.

yotsume 10-05-2010 12:35 AM

I have used previous version of this mod and they work great. Someone needs to find the full version of 2.0 for all of us!

wd4x4 10-16-2010 03:29 PM

Just found ver.1924 ? on a web search. anyone use it ?? says its for vb4.0 looks hacked?

Nope it don't work

briansol 01-30-2011 11:09 PM

there's no way this works on vb4.

SVTCobraLTD 03-07-2011 02:19 AM

Installed on vb 3.8.7 but does not show video, just a link to the video.

Faol 04-09-2011 04:36 PM

If anyone knows of a replacement for this product, please post. I am found out my site being slower is due to it calling 2 files that do not exist, so do not seem to be necessary.

I don't need any functionality except for members' videos to show up in posts, embedded.

voter 06-04-2011 05:55 PM

Seems there will not be an update, so use another mode https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=261296 that could reanimate the youtube ulrs
HTML Code:

[url=http://youtube.com............]Some name[url]
after upgrading from 3.x to 4.x.

yotsume 01-05-2012 07:03 AM

Anyone know how to get this dead mod to work with Youtube's short urls? I have the full version of 2.0 installed not the lite version I think...

Also, anyone know how to get it so the full screen button on the youtube player shows?

leqo 06-09-2013 10:55 PM
