Bots can't get through it, but humans can still register their bots. It's unfortunate, but there's not a lot you can do.

I'm using it on 3.8 with no problem.

I Finaly got it installed to bad it doesnt show when you register though, yes turned on . in vbulletin options theres a spam management that says this ---do I need to add anything to this

then you have your no spam settings.Is it normal to have 2 types of settings in the vb options panel But since it doesnt show anyway on the registration page i'm going to disable it anyway

Your looking at the wrong thing there. That's the Spam Management tools that come default with vBulletin. Where you want to go is Admin CP >> vBulletin Options >> vBulletin Options >> NoSpam! Settings. Then carefully set your questions as instructed.

But it only shows 1 Question per registration, right ? I saw in some other Forum, don´t remember what Software it was, he had 3 little registration questions. Thats possible somehow ? I mean all 3 at the same time when someone registers or just with one question ?

Maybe another modification. But this one doesn't do that, nor does vB default I don't believe.

I had this installed on my vB 3.7 forum and it worked GREAT! When I upgraded to 3.8, I had a problem that was not related to NoSpam!, however, vB support asked me to uninstall all of the mods/hacks/add-ons to isolate a problem. The unrelated problem has gone, and I would like to reinstall NoSpam!

Can this be installed on a 3.8 forum now without issue. I noticed that some members are writing that it works with 3.8, but is that because it was already installed before the upgrade, or can it be installed cold on a 3.8 forum.

not showing in regestration with me eighter.

Spam bots started getting through yesterday - all is running fine - i logged out and tried registering and questions were there and it wouldnt progress until correct answers were given.

About 20 bogus accounts yesterday and the same today.

I assumed that the robots had got more clever and were able to understand simple questions like

and
Type XXXXX here

I initially just replaced the questions with ones very similar just different figures. Seemed to work for a couple of hours then they came again.

So I then replaced the questions with ones that didn't have the answer in them - like

how many fingers on one hand ....

what is the opposite of North ......

What is the talest mountain in the world .........

Since changing these all spam accounts have stopped. Dunno if its coincidence but I'm happy either way

it was working fine but from last 1 week lot of BOTS coming to site. how to stop them please let me know.

I just installed and everything seemed to go smoothly, but now that I'm trying to do a test registration, the question I set up is not appearing anywhere on the registration page. I double checked the NoSpam setup and it seems fine and straitghtorward. I tried clearing history. I don't know what else to check. Any suggestions?

Never mind. I found the troubleshooting instructions that came with this. I'll try that.

I installd the mod some month ago. After that it works great! But now the Spammers can answer the question... I have some math questions. Does someone else have the same problem???

No luck with the troubleshooting instructions. It's telling me to look for the "$imagereg" variable, but it's not found in any of my template files. I'm using a free template that has not been updated to 2.8.1 yet, so I imagine that's complicating things. Maybe if someone could tell me some other code right next to where $imagereg is supposed to be it will help to figure this out.

If they really are beginning to be able to answer math questions, then ask other types of questions.

I love this install....
I was getting about 10 spammers a day registering, now I still get 10, but they can't register now.
The hardest part of the install was thinking of various question/answers you could use. (which took like 5 minutes)....

I just installed this under VBulletin 3.8.1 PL1 and it appears to be working fine. :-D This is a great plugin that really works to block spam when combined with the re-captcha option in VBulletin.

Works perfectly on 3.8.1 with vbadvanced dynamics

Installed...I've been getting HAMMERED with spammers over the past day...ever since I removed an old version of NoSpam! that no longer was functioning (vb upgrade caused it) and switched over to vb's question and answer feature. So I'd say it's safe to assume in 3.7.4 at least that their question and answer feature does NOT work very well. Thanks for an awesome product...I loved the old version I had so I'm sure I'll love this one...especially if it actually works. haha
