Farcaster
Does Event Attendance v2 require:

Event Attendance & vb Event Forums Integration
and
Event Attendance: Email Add-On

or is this version an all-in-one solution?
Thanks...I'll be adding as soon as I get confirmation.

Elenna 10-21-2009 01:49 PM

No, it does not require those. I am not 100% sure that those two add-ons will work with version 2. If you need their functionality, I recomment the earlier version.

Hello

This is a great Mod,,, But I do have 2 questions....

1- Warning: array_walk() [function.array-walk]: Unable to call array_lower() - function does not exist in [path]/calendar.php(1224) : eval()'d code on line 473
This is What i get using it into vb 3.8

2- Would it work in the new vb enviroment "vb4.0"??

FTG STRYKER FG 10-26-2009 02:03 PM

Installed and tested. Works great. Took about 1 minute to install. Marked as installed.

Thx,

Darkylein 10-28-2009 05:45 PM

Hello :)

I have a vb3.8.4 board and this mod works great on it.

But (!) if the users changed their RSVP, these RSVP are anywhere (at "yes", "no" and "maybe") ...
I.e.: "Will you be able to attend on 10/31/2009?" I take "yes"... But if I change this, my RSVP is at two choices (i.e. at "yes" and "maybe").
What I have to do to edit this, so there is just one RSVP after change?

bydosangel 11-05-2009 08:29 AM

Hello

if Any one have this Error:
Quote:

Warning: array_walk() [function.array-walk]: Unable to call array_lower() - function does not exist in [path]/calendar.php(1224) : eval()'d code on line 473
And if you are using 3.8.4:
  • download the mod from admincp
  • open it via "notebook" and search for :
    • function array_lower(&$item, $key)
      replace it with
      //function array_lower(&$item, $key)
    • array_walk($valid_responses,'array_lower');
      replace it with
      //array_walk($valid_responses,'array_lower');
And ur Done :)

IMHO this is the best mod available and my users depend on it. I also got the database error but found that by removing some other mods it's fine. I suggest anyone who really wants it should simply deactivate other mods until they find the one causing the problem.

Thanks to Farcaster for a most useful mod. :up:

Configurable Response options. You aren't stuck with Yes, No, Maybe. You can setup whatever responses you want.
How about being able to sort responses by Usergroup. Any ideas?

Hi Farecaster, I use your mod from a long time now and I would like to port it on the new VB4. Do you plan to release a version for VB4? Since it's essential for me I'll wait until you release the VB4 version...

Thanks

Front Range 4x4 12-17-2009 04:14 AM

Same question as andreamarucci, I won't upgrade until I can run this myself. My users would revolt. I hope you can find time to continue this great mod.

Farcaster 12-17-2009 05:37 AM

I will be upgrading to vb4 as well and I use this modification on my own forum, so the answer to the question is a definite, yes, I will be updating it for vb4 and making it available here.

Leo Brazil 12-17-2009 11:19 AM

Tht's the best news I've got today. I've still working on design before go production on vB 4 but there's no way for me in upgrade it without your and other mods too.
Any chances to get your mod also combined with somenthing like Event Forums as well ? That would be just awesome !!

Since the Event Forums mod is abandoned, no, I won't be trying to integrate it with that modification any longer. There's simply too much that has changed in vBulletin 4 for that hack to work without a lot of rewriting, and I don't really want to take that on.

Will donations now be an incentive? My members really are bugging me about this. ;)

SVTCobraLTD 01-17-2010 10:37 PM

Maybe I am missing something but how do you make ranged events with this mod? I only have the option for one day.

I got it to be ranged but its ranged for all. I would like to have it they can choose if it is just like when adding directly to the calendar. Also, if ranged, how can I edit the thread information. The date and time makes it way too long of a thread title and since I use external links, it messes everything up with that.

Yes but I think Evercraft gave permission here to upgrade his code right ?
Anyway, I would be ready to donate something to get them running smootly, no doubt.

egclive 01-19-2010 07:50 PM

ahh someone please upgrade

Covert-OPs_ 01-23-2010 02:30 PM

Any info on a 4.0 upgrade on this mod?

steven s 01-23-2010 02:35 PM

There is $50US from me if and when it's done.

I would be willing to throw in 50.00 as well.

InsomniacP 01-25-2010 04:09 PM

Dito me too, would like to see this upgraded to 4.0 please?

Farcaster 01-25-2010 07:29 PM

Okay, guys. I am currently in the process of upgrading my own forum to vb4. I have a lot of custom modifications and there are a lot of drastic changes, so I still have a ways to go. This is one of the modifications though that my forum actively uses, so it is on my list. I'll try to address this one next though so I can get it out to you all.

Farcaster 01-27-2010 07:19 AM

I'm about 75% of the way through the conversion to vb4. I'll probably have something for you guys by next week or so. Please note that you won't receive a notification because vb.org rules do not allow me to send an update email about an update for an entirely different version of vBulletin.

So, just be on the look out for updates in this thread.

You start a ranged event as normal. If you are talking about with the EventForums integration, however, that is another story and the short answer is that it isn't supported.

Elenna 01-27-2010 08:11 PM

Great, thanks so much Farcaster!

Are there plans to continue to integrate with Event Forums as well, or are you just looking at Event Attendance?

Farcaster 01-27-2010 09:51 PM

I don't have any plans on trying to integrate it with Event Forums again, particularly since that product has been abandoned by it's developer. If someone else takes up the Event Forums mantle though, perhaps we can collaborate.

No problem, I have been coming to this thread daily to check if you have responded. I will continue to do so...and thank you!

It has already been converted to 4.0, the new author is just waiting for permission from the original event forums mod to give him the go ahead to post it. Original author has been unresponsive thus far so let's all hope this is announced soon!
