I have a couple problems. I've been using this mod for a long time and there have always been issues.

First, it isn't passing off the number to Paypal. When you select an amount and hit the donate button the Paypal page says "Please provide an amount and click Update Totals.". It then makes them fill in an amount in a blank field.

Second, it doesn't automatically add users to the designated donor group. It doesn't seem to recognize most legit donations as they go through. I see payments coming in that used the donate page through Paypal emails, but they don't show up anywhere on the list of donors for me to approve. And of course since the system isn't giving anyone credit, it doesn't reflect any changes on my donation bar graph.

I've had this addon running for awhile on my forums, it worked perfectly well until for some reason it no longer had a Quick Links>Donation Menu. Does anyone know why this Donations Menu may be missing, could it be that it only shows up when a donation has been made? Also I have checked my settings and the proper usergroups are set to be allowed to view it.

I need to clarify a couple things on the subscriptions...

Does 5|1 simply give them an active membership for 1 month (reoccuring subscription) for 5 Euro?

Then Does 12|3 give them a 3 month membership (reoccuring subscription) for 12 Euro?

The xml you proved has not fixed the issues.

Since I last posted, I have had a member donate and although I got the PM telling me it was made and the payment is ok in paypal, the donation is not recorded in donations, nor was the user promoted to the donated usergroup.

Any chance you could post the older version that worked?

I had previously installed v4.5. However, wasn't ready to use it. Then was notified of latest update and used v4.7. Went straight to the XML in post #196 ^.

In my case, I disabled the move to Donator group. I have suggested amounts and custom as options. I set for the paypal page to open in new window/tab. Not sure what other settings might be relevant to this in troubleshooting.

user attempted to donate unregistered and registered, both did not recognize changing the amounts. Everytime, the paypal page would come up with the default lowest, suggested amount ($5). This occurred for using FF and IE.

operation worked like a charm when the user was registered into the forums. he received both of his PMs, 1 having donated and 2nd after it was confirmed.

Didn't fix my problem. Still not passing off the number to Paypal, not sure if its passing the data back to the forum because I haven't had a donation since trying the new xml file yet.

I have one question, why can't I add $15.67 in a donation? It only allowed dollar amounts and not change. Some users donate $1.50 or $20.56 but it will only show the dollar amount and not the cents.

I was just on my way to this thread to report the error.

Congrats on being the first add on download i have ever tried to do myself.....

I think i have managed to add it on to my website ok, (which means your instructions must be great by the way) but i cant work out how any donators (or the programme) know where to send donations too.... or am i looking at this all wrong...

I look forward to your advice...

Cyb, thanks for the file, i have installed it (correctly i think) but i need a small mod if thats possible, i really wanted a Button for donate in the top section (the area that shows the current folder level) how do i show a button in there? ( i wanted this so it's more in yer face!, like the one at VBAExpress when you visit a forum)

I had a person donate finally, he is a registered user. YET when I goto paypal, the payment is coming from: Donation to Support Backyard Turbo Forums (User: Unregistered). Why doesnt it show the user that sent the payment?

ALSO, When I goto the donations list in Quick links, it shows the donation but the username is a IP Address??? How do I get this mod working properly?? :)

I installed it and configured it but the donate link doesnt appear.

Note: i have a diiferent style where the navbar is in the header not the navbar template

Is there a way to see "Anonymous" instead?

I'm still getting donation attempts that show up as IP addresses on the donation page, but no money makes it into PayPal. Searching the IP against usernames come sup with no matches.

Is htis normal?

Only Admins will see IP addresses on the list, other users will see "Unknown".

ok, so my question is then why do those IP addresses show up on the list but no money follows in PayPal? Is the error in vB or on PayPal's side?

search engines / web crawlers could be following the links? do you have a rel="nofollow" in the anchor declaration or robots.txt entry for your donate page?

When i installed the 4.7 update it only allows the minimum donation amount. All others entered by the pull down or custom are rejected.

My system is still 3.6.8

Thanks! That fixed the only bug I've had so far. Although, just installed it yesterday. Looks awesome so far, and can't wait to further put it to some use. I'd love to see categories integrated into this, that way they can donate to separate projects themselves, and your hack keep those separated depending on the project itself. Also have it where I could have different paypal accounts per project just in case. Please let me know if you do decide to do this please. I will most definitely need it!:D

I have the vbadvanced cmps installed, but nothing related to the paypal donate shows up. Specifically the donation bar, or the option within the Quicklinks. They do show up once going to the main forum though.
Or, if possible, does someone have info on installing a module in vbadvanced for this mod?
