How do I remove it from the navbar on default skin? Where it says "ChatBox Full" ?

Set "Automatically add link to ChatBox to NavBar" to No. You find that in the Admin menu, under vBulletin Settings - Cyb ChatBox

Don't want to nag but the issue with not displaying the time only [H:i] has been aorund for a while. Can anyone take a look at this, maybe we can collect a small reward to the one who breaks the bug! :)

Ok by adding the loading indicator I noticed something is very wrong with this chatbox.. So I sniffed the network to see how many times it requests the chat messages..

I added 4 messages to the chatbox, and this is the sniffed network traffic during and after sending these 4 lines.

I have made the chatbox to refresh every 10 seconds, obviously something is wrong.

First thing that is probably wrong is that you do not reset the 10 second timer after I send a message (and thus refresh the chatbox). What else is causing this, I do not know.

Firefox btw, only 1 browser tab open.

hi guys, I have been using chatbox for a few months now. Lately a lot of users are having problems, it comes back saying busy and some messages don't get posted, like it says busy for a minute or so, then the message does not get posted, the next message goes through then busy again for a while.

I am using vb 3.6.8 and cyb 1.9.9. Vb is the only thing running on the server, no server load issues that I know of and the user base is small, it happens even with only two people in chat.

Any help really appreciated, I really like the plugin but I cannot keep using it like this. thanks again.

Is there a way to make this show up on every page? IE: when viewing a forum or thread or topic?

Is there a way to to get rid of the bottom scroll bar when using IE?

It's a schame for such a clean chatbox! Some bug fixing and it would be really great!

Yes, really. I like this more than the other full featured chat mod on here. This one just requires a simple XML upload, versus the other one where you have to upload ten different php files in different locations.

What bugs you are talking about, pewa?

In my case the chat is workign great except:

1. The time is not displayed in the chat, all I see is "H:i"
Strange thing here is that the time displays correct on my other server so I guees maybe the Chat is not compatible with my current one? Maybe something needs to be added or changed to the way the time is being fetched?

2. If a add Guests to "Usergroups NOT able to view the ChatBox" but keep the link.. then when guest click on it they end up on the smiley FAQ page, kind of strange ;)
In my case I solved this with making the chat link only visible to logged in members.

If anyone want to add any bugs to this list, feel free! Could be a good idea to make one list of bugs instead of one thread for every one.

1. I really don't know why this happens. Asked here, no replies.

2. If "CB Full" link was added by hack (option enabled in hack settings) or using "$cybcb_navbarlink" variable in template, then this should not happen. No permissions to view CB - no link in navbar.

But when i'm block my First usergroup, my VIP group in Secondery is blocked!
What can i do now?

To get it to work on Vbadvanced:

VbCMPS settings -> portal global output variables --> write "cybchatbox", save.

I have a similar problem. I have myself and another user as an administrator, but I have our display groups as something else, but it displays our colors as the administrators.

Would love to see a fix for this, anyone have any suggestions?

Heya, Can you Add a Button under the Text Box (where you type in the message) saying Submit or something, because in gadgets like the iPod Touch or iPhone, you can't post a message in the shoutbox as the 'Enter' button in the gadgets doesn't work the same way as one of PC's.

My chatbox is upgraded to 2.1, but my problem is not resolved yet!

I disabled viewing of chatbox for guests.

But if I directly go to the URL of chatbox as a guest, it redirects me to the smileys page instead of a proper no permission error.

Does anyone else face the same problem??

fariborz, move them to "VIP" group if possible.
I didn't want to add several lines of code just to show nice error message to curious users. If there is no chatbox on requested page they will see that no access really means no access.
