Shows up on the forum but whenever messages are entered they do not appear. I've checked this thread and make any adjustments I thought would help, but nothing appears to have fixed it.

Does messages appear in the archives ? Did you see any error in ie (js errors) ?

Before i install, do the text colors save? If not, i'd like to request that before i install it.

wondering if theres any wrong with shoutbox since its lagging quite alot when theres more than 4 user chatting at same time. I have 2x Harpertown, 16 gb ram, 300 gb scsi 15000 rpm
so i dont think its the server load since its under 1

On installing another script I received an error message where the user messages should appear in the chatbox. It would seem that the GoldBrick media addon causes an error when using a chatbox. I have logged this error with them so we'll see what happens!

It is possible to select a text color from the usercp so that it is used each time.

Someone else reported me about that problem. The problem is not server side but user side.

I think the menu I added to the chatbox might have and their parsing upon shouts refresh might have lead to that lag problem.

I think I'll have to find another way to build the menu rather than using the vBulletin system. I'll not look at that for the release which is upcoming but will set this as top priority for the one after.

A way to diminish that problem is to set a number of shouts less important shown in the chatbox (something under 40-50) and warn your users of that problem until I release the next next version :) But don't worry I'll make it quick coz this is a non-acceptable issue. :)

I tried this hack and then uninstalled it. Now, when I tried to add another hack I am getting

MySQL Error : Unknown column 'mgc_cb_evo_permissions' in 'field list'

Can you tell me how to fix this or remove this mystery column that is still remaining after the uninstall??

You haven't followed carefully the uninstall procedure.

You have either to import product again, then remove chatbox files (especially in the includes/xml dir) and then remove the product.

Or remove the files and rebuild bitfields manually.

Use the drop down arrow and select "remove the chat of *membername*

But for within the archives, there is not this option yet. It is on the next version though... See top information post...

Inline chats removal and menu are not the same :)

There will be both the menu items and the inline removeal within the admincp in the next version.

Hello everyone, I have the older version of the box installed. I will be honest I tried to uninstall it but I OBVIOUSLY didnt find out how to uninstall it properly because when I did I got member errors. The only way to get things back to normal was to reinstall it through the admin panel. I would like to impliment the new chatbox but I honestly want to know how to uninstall the older box properly. Right now I am using the CYB chat and not totally happy with it. How much resources do you claim the new chatbox is using?

No because I won't have time to work on the chatbox tonight normally. So release should rather be tomorrow.

Have you followed the uninstall instructions from the older chatbox readme file, they should be pretty clear :) ?

About resources, honnestly I don't know it's not easy to estimate the server load. I think that it might be less for this version but really can't exactly tell.

On the current version, there is a little lag but it's on user side (corrected in the version to be released :)).

I will look at it again to see about getting it properly uninstalled....will the new version work with CMPS 3.0?

One thing that would be kind of nice though, is a pop out window that doesnt use the navbar, header info, and also limits the browser (i.e. hides menu bar, favorites, is a smaller more compact size) and whatnot.

JS error "hide_chat_menu is not defined" is triggered when clicking on the arrows (left side of each chat line) to open the popup window since upgrade to 0.1.0.... any ideas?

Image paths are all messed up.

Some images are pointing to forum/images/misc/mgc_chatbox/mgc_cb_refresh.gif and others to /forum/images/misc/mgc_cb_evo. The last zip contains only mgc_cb_evo folder in images/misc directory.

Both corrected in the just new 0.1.1 :)

The problem appeared in the last install, you have to reimport the spanish language file of vBulletin and use the spanish xml file of the new release.

Instead of the drop down arrow on the left of the user name it shows:

Yeah, it didn't fix it. Apparently it's looking for image down9x9.gif in my misc folder.. but that file doesn't exist in there.

Still image path issues:

When logged (usergroup can see and use chatbox):

also for the usergroup permissions, the new addition "Can view the chatbox even if the minimum number of posts is not reached", doesn't really work, or make any sense!
It should be like the old chatbox, where a usergroup can view, but not use the chatbox untill a member gets at least x number of chats. This new option here has no impact, if you set it to no, then the user wont see or use the chatbox untill x posts, if set to yes, then he can see and use chatbox without having x number of posts.....

You have to reimport all commands every time you reinstall the mcg chatbox.

and is it possible to customize the own text to warn ppl that its not search function

Others missing the arrow: I don't know why it disappeared but, if you save it to your misc folder (for each skin) It'll be back for you... I'm attaching it here for you. Hopefully that's the only thing that went away during the update.

Now I know that this marked things are normally.

But I have many problems in Firefox (in IE not):
1. If i press on one of this arrows there (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2008/02/47.jpg) doesn't appear this menu.
2. If I press at the text field, "Entrez votre chat >>" does not disappear automatically.
3. When I click at "BBCode" and click f. e. on "B" "I" "U" there doesn't appear anything.

This is all functionating in the Internet Explorer, but in Firefox not. :o
