There is no facility to do that with this mod. You could try using template conditionals, but help with them is beyond the support I can provide.

Tried to download this but something is wrong.

Its downloading as a Flashchat-vb-integration.1.321C02.efw
I am using IE.
I just tried it in firefox and it worked fine..

Any idea why its doing that?

I have a problem with the banning system.
Ever since i installed the integration, Now i just realized, i have IP Banned 3 people and they signed back in, and i tried it on myself i IP Banned myself, and 4 seconds later i was unbanned.
This never used to happen before...
Any idea whats wrong???

Actually, the problem you experienced is because in your AdminCP, you chose yes to Spy Mode.

Spy Mode: Yes No

You need to set it to No and your text field will return ;) Which makes sense because Paul stated that in Spy Mode you can watch but not chat....Whenever you want to spy, just go back to your AdminCP and select yes to Spy Mode...Be well

For anyone looking how to integrate vbAdvanced or any other page with FChat do the following:

Create a new template with name: adv_portal_flashchat

In the template throw the following code:

</IFRAME></p>
(obviously change the yoursite.com with your site's name)
Then save it.

Then just add the variable of the newly created template anywhere in your templates. For vbAdvanced create a new Termplate Module and input the adv_portal_flashchat name where it asks. Then add it anywhere you like (i added it in the center)

When selecting 'profile' from the the member ddrop down in flashchat, I am getting this message about the CSRF:
Your submission could not be processed because a security token was missing or mismatched.

If this occurred unexpectedly, please inform the administrator and describe the action you performed before you received this error.

Works great. I had forgotten about adjusting the vbulletin37 verbiage and I was pulling my hair out until I noticed the posts about that same issue a few pages back.

This is another 'stupid' question, but how do I do that? I went into edit template and found a 'flashchat' one there but couldn't find where to edit it so I left it alone. Can you give me a down and dirty on how to adjust the actual verbiage?

Phrases are not templates, there is another section in the ACP for finding/editing phrases.

Aha! Thank you sir! You can now cross stupid question #626 off of your list :D

For the benefit of those others that would like to do this....

Admin > Languages & Phrases > Phrase Manager > Click 'next' at top until you find 'flashchat' > Edit > Place whatever verbiage you'd like in box

....that should do it ;)

I just reinstalled this on my 3.7, works perfectly.

Wanted to know if there is the mod which shows you who is live in chat, believe it went down below in the statistics section. This way visitors see there are people actively in chat.

Hello!

Have vbulletin 3.7.2 and CMPS 3.0.1 and flaschat - works fine!

problem come up when i install vba dynamics ... and problem is only in quick links (mean flashchat) on vba dynamics page - i get blank page when click on flashchat in quick links!

on forum page and cmps page flashchat works from quick links!

root/vb/libar/index.php - is my forum page
root/vb/libar/cmps_index.php - is my cmps page

root/dynamics/index.php - is my dynamics page

some help or solution? maybe to disable flashchat in quick links (all pages) and how?

Flashchat version 3.55 has a censoring filter; when people chat it blocks out swear words etc. How to turn this off so all chats can be seen? Our forum is for 18+ yr olds so they are old enough to handle any language.. Any advice how to turn the filter off?

Hi Paul,
I'm having problems with users who are in the chat but for some reason they are not in a room and no one can see them. However they can use the PM feature in the chat. Anyone else experience this problem?. I think this may have started after I upgraded to the latest flashchat but not sure.

It's in the config file for flashchat. You should look on the Tufat site and post your question there.

I'd love to mark this installed, but I can't seem to even install it. Whenever I upload the XML file, I get an "Invalid File Specified" error.

EDIT: Nevermind! I can't believe what I was doing wrong...

I have one issue I would like to correct and that to do with the WOL part.

It shows up as:

But I really don't like that full path showing up and would much prefer it showed like all the others locations ie:

With the second line a link to the chat room like all the others are listed in WOL.

I actually have th chat room set to open in a popup window, so would like to edit that link to behave like this.

I have done a search of the templates and ant seem to locate where I need to edit this. (maybe its just getting late!!)

Are you able to direct me to the place where I need to edit this please?

OK, is there a reason I cant use the following code in that plug in? (or do I need to also edit something somewhere where else?)....maybe I left out something important?

You need to escape the single quotes in the window.open code (or make them double quotes).

Cheers for this update :)

I've upgraded from a version or two ago and also updated flashchat to the latest Beta.
One thing that's missing for me:

* Direct Usergroup Integration - a section is added to each usergroup in the ACP Usergroup Manager to set the Flashchat permissions for that group.


Everything else appears to be working but im missing the flashchat permissions for each group now (or I have gone half blind).



EDIT: Im a noob and hadn't uploaded "all" the files :D

Having trouble... I copy the new CMS file and change the config.php like it says, but after the loading screen for the FlashChat it just sits there. If I change the config.php back to 36 instead of 37 it works again.

some of my users that are using Windows XP and IE 6 and 7 are complaining they are getting kicked out after a few minutes and have to relogin to the chat....

Any place where the cookies are logged?
