I like this idea, sort of creating a "fiction country" for my board. Now what if someone creates another hack linking this map hack with Living Avatar hack, I could sell real estate out of Living Avatars and have the location appearing on the map. Wouldn't it be cool?

Actually we do habe a map of South-Africa already. If that's OK for you I can upload it here.
Did you set the standard-map?
Either the graphic or the data file ist not set to 777. Did you already check that?
That will definately be part of version 1.0.5 - then the users can create their own country or whatever with fictious places and locations.

Also it will be possible to add POIs to the maps like 'Here is McDonalds' or 'Nightclub' or whatever....

Oh, before I forget: Thanks to those people who nominated this AddOn for MOTM! Robert and I didnt't believe that our AddOn is that much liked!

This Hack is really great.
Will there be another version of it where it is possible to choose between different categories of entries ? F.e: Hot Spots with a yellow flag and Users with a red one and something like this ? And if you click on this information that there is a new site with much more informations like pictures and any descriptions ? That would be a really great idea to my mind.

Great MOD!

I have three suggestions that I think would take it to the next level.
1. The ability to add points of interest.
2. The ability to have the State listed after the city. In the case of the US, only the city is listed.
3. Require zip code upon registration. It is pretty easy to make required fields when registering, but it would need to post that field to the database table used by membermap. This would make it so that all new users would be automatically added to the map.

Is it possible to make a hole worldmap? I'm the admin of an international forum and there we need a map with all countrys.

Uninstalled due to lack of support. Installed it on 3 forums, and all 3 had issues with it.
