Sorry for late reply. I'm busy on releasing the beta-version of the new vbi-Gallery 2.

For those "Red X".: Check all settings for attachments (and make sure, that the picture isn't linked via URL). Also, make sure, your vB can make thumbnails for attachments (maybe a graphic library isn't installed?).

Hopefully, i can release the first beta around christmas. Maybe this may be a better solution for you all.

The new version doesn't need a category and then a forum inside of it. You define a category, define the permissions (which usergroup can access the category and which one not?) and also set, which usergroup will be moderated, if they upload anything in this category. That's all.

This mod works great for me, but unfortunately only users logged in can see the pics. I tried all the options (visitors can download attachments) to have visitors see the pics, but no go. I guess I'll wait for the next release for that.

How do I install the gallery to an own directory (ie www.myforum.com/gallery/index.php) as you've done at sf-galerie.net ?

I'm not using the old gallery-system on this site any longer. So i decided to use another gallery-solution as long as vBi-Gallery 2 isn't ready.

Just wait for the version 2, the german Beta will be released tonight and i'm hardly working on the english version of it.

With the next version the gallery will be in an extra folder (not yet, but in the final version).

For me it always worked fine in firefox, but sinds today it doesnt anymore...

i've been having big problems with firefox and IE lately, firefox favorites are broke so the Favorites display but not in subfolders, IE is broke or something i dont know, anyway .. i just want to ask 1 question, can the gallery scan a folder and then resize+create thumbnails of the images and then delete processed images as the scan goes? I have over 2,500+ images and i need a gallery to display them, i can't add 1 by 1 to the gallery since there's also new images created each day, weeks..

Short answer: This version will not be able of this function, as it would be too difficult to write this for the normal forums-attachment-system.

This function may be included in the new version, which is building up at the moment.

Just installed the hack,

Images are displayed fine on forumhome and in members pages. The problem is no thumbnails being displayed on the actual gallery. i have looked through every thread here and checked attachment permisssions, thumbnails etc.... any ideas on resolving this. im using vb 3.6.4

It works fine on 3.6.4.

Did you also check the vbulletin-options for postings? There is also an attachment-setting (i think it was "Show Attachment Inline". Check if this is set to yes.

Sorry for no updates so far, but i'm working for the last weeks on the new version, which will be released soon (german users find a beta-version on vbulletinhacks-germany.org).

The BIG problem on the new version is, that all text is hardcoded atm, and therefore i can't release it (it's all in german).

ok the problem i have is not the actual attachments itself as they are displayed in the members page, forum home.

I don't know what is wrong, but I don't have an upload button and when I attached something, it doesn't show up. These instructions are poor and so is the hack, IMO. Sorry, but I am installing this until all the words are in English (and spelled properly) and pieces aren't missing or broken. Nice idea, but needs more work. Thanks for your efforts.

You are right! I tried editing the forumdisplay in notepad but kept on getting parse errors. I then did a find and replace for the forumdisplay.php in dreamweaver and that done the job.

One thing i did notice is that the image not rated should be uploaded to directory forum/images/statusicon/ not forum/images/misc as stated on the instructions

You should also upload file not registered to the forum/images directory

Everything Good But Not Showing Random Pic. On Top

Just installed this script on vB3.6.4. Installed easily and seems to be working like a charm . I left out the Gallery button code as I will integrate that later on in my menu structure (using aria chocolate+ by vbstyles). Only thing I'm not sure about is they way the gallery categories should work. What should switching it off and on do?

Any news on the release of vBI-gallery 2? I think looking at the vbi-gallery.de website it looks awsome!!

I think, the english version of vBi-g2 will be in february. Hope this is ok.
