I've read through the first 12 pages to see if anyone else is having this problem, but I couldn't find it. None of the built-in players seem to work, except winamp. Thanks EDIT: I noticed that the errors was referring to the shoutcast_lite addon, and removed that from my modules (using vba) and now there are no errors on the log, but still get blank popups :( EDIT2: Now they are not blank, but just the homepage of my forum :( Can anyone help? |

I was wondering if you can help me get the Shoutcast forumhome working for my 3.6.4 or 3.6.3 forum working. I have gone through the thread and done everything people have said and it still doesn't work. The radio is on, the Files are CHMOD' and it still says the radio is offline. How do I add a link from shoutcast.com to the feed?

I have my shoutcast running from a dedicated server. When I use this plugin with the admin password, it broadcasts the server stream even when there is alive DJ. I plugged in the DJ password and now the marquee shows the correct song, but I think my history is screwed.

Ok I'm sure what this does exactly, can I have this stream a broadcast from www.gamesurgeradio.net ? Or another radio site? or can I only stream stuff from my computer?

By default if you list only the file name it will automatically point to the "root" folder of the forums. IE: scast_home.xml will point to you /vBulletin install root/scast_home.xml - You should not have problems of CHMOD 777 - make sure you have write access to the file. |
Thank you for the reply :) I deleted and reuploaded the file via ftp, no errors for 30 seconds and then they showed up again. weird, I will check further and post back.

Yes it can ping the shoutcast server. (this was never an issue) The problem is the web server's ability to ping an external IP on ports such as 8000 (or your custom shoutcast server port ) and get back data. Web providers will shutdown almost all external port queries to ports other than 80. By request many hosts: (unless you can do it yourself) -- will open the port you need. -- has a custom port to funnel all traffic through. -- will tell you they can not help you. Until you get an answer. Configure your shoutcast server to output on port 80. - (unless you also have a web server on that shoutcast server) Reset shoutcast status |

For some reason, I get the "This Radio is offline" message, but the server is up, and I can connect to it.
scast_home.xml has 0777 CHMOD. I'm not sure where i'm going wrong. |
