Does WHM have to be on the same server as vB or can i use a second VPS to host sub accounts?

I haven't tested it but it should work.

Bashar 06-08-2007 04:09 PM

it automatically gives users subdomains on the domain domain of the forum? such as user.example.com ? or it will be www.example.com/forum/user ?

can they use their own domain?

I'm running

WHM 10.8.0
cPanel 10.9.0-R10737
CentOS 4.4 i686

I had the same problem just had WHM/cpanel installed, the problem was that the reseller account I made did not have the right permission, for creating accounts etc.

Great mod btw.

Does this work with 3.6.7?

Wabuf 07-26-2007 01:32 AM

How do I organize it so that it goes from least amount of posts required to most amount of posts required? Also what file do I edit to change the cPanel number from 9 to 11?

Do change the order you have to edit hosting.php. To change the text "cPanel 9" to "cPanel 11" edit the "hosting_features" phrase.

solong2 07-27-2007 01:13 AM

work in 3.6.4

thanks alot

Ok I got the cPanel one... I'm having trouble finding what exactly to get the plans organized like how Xenweb has it...

DeiseHost 08-10-2007 02:21 AM

Yes, there is no where in hosting.php to change the order of the plans.

MiahBeSmokin420 08-10-2007 11:28 PM

edited cause i fixed the problem

thanks though

Greetings

I'm using vhosting lite 1.40 with whm 11.2.0 and Vbulletin 3.6.8
My forum is in a different server, I can see connection from forum server to cpanel server, but account is not created, there is not any error messages.

If I do a test from WHM control panel "http://my.ip:2086/scripts/wwwacct?sign=&plan=undefined&domain=aaa.yoursite.c om&username=aaaa&password=tester&quota=10&cgi=1&fr ontpage=1&maxftp=0&maxpop=0&maxlst=0&maxsql=0&maxs ub=0&maxpark=0&maxaddon=0&bwlimit=50&cpmod=x2&cust omip=--Auto+Assign--&contactemail=test@test.com"
test account is created without problems

Somebody can help me?

harmor19 08-25-2007 04:10 AM

I'm sorry but I don't have any solutions.

Centrix 08-25-2007 05:15 AM

could you re-upload the screenshots instead of putting them on your own server? because your site is down..

Have you tried searching the "header" template?

Go into your Admin CP --> Forums & Moderators --> Forum Permissions
On the forums for hosting requests click "Deny All" then click "Edit" on the usergroup(s) that can view the forums. Click on "All Yes" and save.

You can put users into a secondary usergroup. You will need to modify the code to have accepted users be placed into a primary usergroup and declined users placed in another.

wIrEs 08-31-2007 12:33 PM

I dont understand why i am getting this info line on the Overview page

"You are not permitted to change your hosting account details"

Any ideas ?

edit: I am using vBulletin v3.6.8 and vHosting v1.4.0, no other products/plugins, dev site.

Go into your Admin CP then expand "Usergroups" and select "Usergroup Manager".
Edit the usergroup(s) that you allow to change their hosting domain and username.
Select "Yes" for "Can Change Hosting Details".

theFAILURE 08-31-2007 03:02 PM

I'm assuming this does not work on windows servers?

It won't automatically create or terminate accounts but you can still use it to organize hosted users.

wIrEs 09-20-2007 03:54 AM

I think Harmor19 abandoned this mod.

lane 10-20-2007 03:45 AM

Hi Guys,

Could anyone comment on just how you go about editting the hosting features on the overview page. I would like to update the cpanel version and stuff that shows above the actual plans.

Question number 2, anyone know how to have the hosting plans sort by alphabetical order instead of by post order...

Thanks.

Uhm...no? vHosting Lite isn't his main priority, hence why he hasn't released a new version in over a year.

Check out his site @ xenweb.net and note that he's working on keeping his own community running and working towards a release of vHosting 3.0 (Paid)

Umm yeh, maybe you should visit his community and realize he isnt around over their either, Im not where he is, but Im sure its because he is busy with life.

Also would note, 3.0 paid has been released for a while now...

This is great! Thanks very much.

Shadab 01-03-2008 09:11 AM

Looks cool.

Maybe i'll use it in my Forum too, soon,
where users get free hosting as an incentive to post in the Forums.

CypherSTL 01-06-2008 11:49 PM

Anyone have this working with cPanel 11? I have this installed on 3.7 and it works fine except it is not creating the accounts with cPanel, I can run the code manually in the address bar in my browser with the information and it creates the account fine, but the program on vB is not running it it seems.

GoTTi 01-07-2008 12:33 AM

exes_slayer 01-10-2008 05:53 PM

exes_slayer 01-11-2008 01:45 PM
