Add this to the bottom of your config.php

PHP Code:

define('DISABLE_HOOKS'1);

You should then be able to get in to disable the product.

speedracer68 04-06-2006 11:55 PM

Phew!!!!! Thanks! I uninstalled it. Any ideas why this happend? I'd like to use it.

Kihon Kata 04-07-2006 02:25 PM

Tried to install. First of all the version is still listed at 1.01, but the author is saying it's 1.02

Second, searched phrases for multiplelogin_alert ... No Phrases Matched Your Query

Third, the XML I downloaded from here only has setting's phrases for the ACP. When do a search for ANY phrases for this I only see the settings phrases. I did a "Phrase Variable Name Only" search for "AE" without the quotes, I only have the phrases for he acp settings.

Anyone have the working XML handy?

Kihon Kata 04-09-2006 02:07 AM

Bump, is this unsupported?

I'd love to install this. I have a few problem people and this would be great to have. I'm running Vb 3.5.4. Could that be the reason?

Paul M 04-10-2006 10:54 PM

I have this running on 3.5.4 - no problems.

Me too, works great. ;)

Nice hack, and I already caught myself logging into my site using one of my alter ego's! :) took me by surprise since I installed it on Saturday and totally forgot about it. Nice hack.

Vb 3.5.4 w/VBAdvanced.

speedracer68 04-11-2006 02:34 AM

Hmm,, I guess I'll try it again. Fingers crossed.

speedracer68 04-11-2006 01:09 PM

Nope, I installed it again and I get the same errors I posted above. Any thoughts?

Paul M 04-11-2006 05:27 PM

How did you download the xml - it sounds corrupted to me.

BANDiT600 04-11-2006 08:23 PM

When I try to log in AdminCP I get this message:
Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_VARIABLE in /home/forum/public_html/includes/functions_login.php(168) : eval()'d code on line 38

Cannot modify header information. Headers already sent.
File: $filename
Line: $linenum

Trying to add to the bottom of config.php line:
define('DISABLE_HOOKS', 1);

but nothing happens...

BANDiT600 04-11-2006 09:20 PM

I've found the answer here - http://www.vbulletin.com/docs/html/disable_plugins

But what's wrong with me? Why I Get this error. I'm using 3.5.0

Kroziun 04-13-2006 02:07 PM

No problems on 2 forums with this product - it deserves to be HOTM without a doubt and has my vote.

(I have clicked Install)

My only grumble - the spelling in the Admin CP options part.

Brilliant plugin!

I just right clicked and "saved target" then uploaded. Its there and I can see it in the admincp, but I wont know if its working or not until someone tried.

Clicked Install.

EdQ 04-14-2006 10:55 PM

Still can't figure out why it won't post in the forum. I really don't want PM's filling up my box.

BANDiT600 04-16-2006 10:58 PM

I get the error (see screenshot), when I try login to my AdminCP. Any idea???

Hemanth 04-17-2006 06:58 AM

Great Hack.. Thank you.

Spinball 04-17-2006 07:45 PM

Finding this hack very useful right now as the same banned pillock keeps re-registering.
I'm banning him before he even has chance to activate his new account.
Any chance of having an option to pick a particular user, and if someone registers with that cookie, they are automatically sent to coventry with a PM of such info sent to admin?
Thanks for a great hack.

CodeRed 04-18-2006 02:26 AM

Nathan2006 04-18-2006 03:43 AM

Thank you for the update MPDev

BANDiT600 04-18-2006 12:57 PM

MPDev, wow, after upgrade from 1.0.2 to 1.0.3 all works great, withiut errors, what I've posted above.

MorrisMcD 04-18-2006 01:55 PM

Great hack.. Was working fine on .2 for me, but I upgraded anyway..

Thanks for this hack.. A lot

MPDev 04-19-2006 12:06 PM

Excellent, glad it's working for you. :)

What was the problem with me, if not secret??? ;)

MPDev 04-19-2006 05:06 PM

I don't know, honestly; not a whole lot changed between the two versions.

Cloud Strife 04-19-2006 05:36 PM

How would you set it so that it auto bans the new account if the old account has already been banned by mods?

Buczilla 04-19-2006 10:40 PM

Thank you!

Majidm 04-20-2006 12:34 AM

Great plugin.. thanks..

Do you ever plan to expand on it?

A nice feature would be to turn off multiple-reports from the same users... Although it has helped catch a lot of users, we do have some that just share their computer with their friends/siblings etc.. (we're able to tell because our site has freestyle battles with live audio recording, we can hear different voices etc..)

Cheers.

i agree... i have legitimate multiple users who share a computer and am getting multiple flags. i actually thought this was a feature in one of the earlier revisions - i could be thinking of something else though.

Tulsa 04-20-2006 02:05 AM

You can ignore specific userid's that you don't want to have report to you.

Kihon Kata 04-20-2006 02:33 AM

I agree! Seems to be catching many users inside their own networks.

Oh I know, I just want him to add an option to automate that process ;)

Pathor 04-20-2006 12:56 PM

Works fine!

Click install! ;)

MPDev 04-21-2006 01:15 PM

It shouldn't report the same users more than once unless:

a) the user logs into an additional account not already logged,
b) the user has somehow reset their cookies and started over (some security concious people will use a program to clean up their internet activity)

I don't have an autoban feature planned; but it wouldn't be hard to add it I wouldn't think.

Majidm 04-21-2006 07:28 PM

It must be the cookies then... If you could make an option so that it only files 1 report per User, that would be great.
