As requested.

King Kovifor 04-22-2006 03:10 PM

Hey DaPro,

I like some of those changes! Do you mind if I try to incorporate them into my next release?

DaPro 04-22-2006 07:22 PM

Hey, no not at all. Just PM me and I will send you a text file with my welcomepanel template information. :-)

King Kovifor 04-22-2006 08:15 PM

Now your panel, can be used by everybody. :)

Muderman24 04-22-2006 09:41 PM

Which xml file do i install? I'm upgrading to the new version just released. There are quite a few in the 2.0 folder.

v2b2?
v2rc1?
v2b3?
v21?
v2b1?
v2b4?

hotwheels 04-22-2006 10:56 PM

It should be v21 friend.

hotwheels 04-22-2006 11:06 PM

Great job king.............Love the new look

icemann 04-23-2006 01:07 AM

Very nice indeed. :)

Muderman24 04-23-2006 01:31 PM

When I upgraded I don't see any changes from the way I had it before.

If you install v21.xml you should have noticed some arrows before the info on the right. To get "the new design" I talked about, you need to edit in the vBOptions the "Welcome Panel Style" to "No".

Thanks guys for the compliments. If your using Style Option #2 that was ALL DaPro.

Note:

Within the next week there will be a "v2.1.1" being released. It'll include some minor bug fixes with my template.

1. Did you install the original hack?
2. When that's done, make sure all the settings are filled in!

Connector 04-28-2006 10:51 PM

Ohh Nevermind i just found it i have to install the other hack. :)

Snake 04-29-2006 12:12 PM

King Kovifor 05-10-2006 06:30 PM

Wordplay 05-10-2006 07:40 PM

To both of you, I'm not sure

And sorry for the late reply.

It can be done through HTML, I'm not exactly sure which tag though...

N-0p3rz 06-14-2006 12:33 PM

I actually gave up on this.. and just created my own panel =/

King Kovifor 06-14-2006 12:35 PM

I'm sorry to hear that... I never get the subscribe e-mails, which are leading to bad support!

King Kovifor 06-14-2006 12:36 PM

I'm sorry to hear that... I'm not getting the subscribe e-mails, which is causing some bad support.

Wifey 06-22-2006 05:34 PM

Hey King, I really want to install this! My problem is the installs from the hack that zero tolerance wrote. I have his old hack, and the panels work 3.0 work just fine except for the avatar. Any ideas on how I can get your hack to work since his doesn't work with my version, which is 3.5.4?

Wait, forget it. I think I figured it out and I feel like a real blonde now!

Oh. My. God.

I love you! This hack fixed what I desperately needed it to! Thank you so much!

edit: Hrm, well maybe. I need to look into this some more.

Wifey 06-22-2006 06:13 PM

Okay, I'm double posting.

I need a log in on the guest welcome panel as my navbar is completely customized. Can this be added and if so, where?

Did you remove it? But if you need it the code is this:

HTML Code:

                <!-- login form -->
                <form action="login.php?do=login" method="post" onsubmit="md5hash(vb_login_password, vb_login_md5password, vb_login_md5password_utf, $show[nopasswordempty])">
                <script type="text/javascript" src="clientscript/vbulletin_md5.js?v=$vboptions[simpleversion]"></script>
                <table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="$stylevar[formspacer]" border="0">
                <tr>
                        <td class="smallfont"><label for="navbar_username">$vbphrase[username]</label></td>
                        <td><input type="text" class="bginput" style="font-size: 11px" name="vb_login_username" id="navbar_username" size="10" accesskey="u" tabindex="101" value="$vbphrase[username]" onfocus="if (this.value == '$vbphrase[username]') this.value = '';" /></td>
                        <td class="smallfont" colspan="2" nowrap="nowrap"><label for="cb_cookieuser_navbar"><input type="checkbox" name="cookieuser" value="1" tabindex="103" id="cb_cookieuser_navbar" accesskey="c" />$vbphrase[remember_me]</label></td>
                </tr>
                <tr>
                        <td class="smallfont"><label for="navbar_password">$vbphrase[password]</label></td>
                        <td><input type="password" class="bginput" style="font-size: 11px" name="vb_login_password" id="navbar_password" size="10" accesskey="p" tabindex="102" /></td>
                        <td><input type="submit" class="button" value="$vbphrase[log_in]" tabindex="104" title="$vbphrase[enter_username_to_login_or_register]" accesskey="s" /></td>
                </tr>
                </table>
                <input type="hidden" name="s" value="$session[sessionhash]" />
                <input type="hidden" name="do" value="login" />
                <input type="hidden" name="vb_login_md5password" />
                <input type="hidden" name="vb_login_md5password_utf" />
                </form>
                <!-- / login form -->

Wifey 06-25-2006 08:32 PM

Ugh, no and I have no idea what's going on! Now, I can't even SEE the guest welcome panel when I log out! I tried uninstalling then reinstalling...any ideas?

Well, what guest panel? The login section? May I suggest reverting all templates you modified?

Wifey 06-25-2006 08:59 PM

The guest panel that's part of your hack. It will say welcome back unregistered. Would it be a problem in my formhome template?

Actually no, I have it on a style where there are no modified templates and it doesn't work when you're logged out on that userstyle when it used to. I'm using the v211 :)

It should only show if your logged in.

Wifey 06-25-2006 09:15 PM

Oooo, okay. Well then that solves it. I had it showing up originally when they were unregistered. My last one used to show up when they weren't registered and allowed you to log in and had an avatar that said No avatar selected.

I'll have to add it somewhere, but that would be a great addition to this hack -- have it show up when you're not registered :)

I love it though, my members love this new panel!

Wifey 06-28-2006 08:57 PM

Just curious:

For some reason that long number is showing as the time and I'm not fetching the posts and threads...any idea?

King Kovifor 06-28-2006 08:59 PM

Not a clue. Try reinstalling the plugins - reverting template edits.

Wifey 06-28-2006 09:10 PM

Alrighty :) Thanks!
