You just gotta find the right peep to do the job, or maybe your offer isn't enough $$, or your requirements document is too vague... As an example, on the current vb customization I am having done, the requirements document is 39 pages long, consisting of 7 chapters, not including the appendix and graphical representations. It took me almost 2 months to write, and is a bit overwhelming when first seen, however it leaves no questions in the developer's head. Everything is answered and explained, from the way things should look on the front end to the back end admincp structure, fields needed, relationships between those fields in the database, etc... Different function options and explainations, etc... Granted it's a MAJOR overhaul, converting it into a CMS among other things, however i think if you can present a good document to a developer, they'll trust that you are knowledgable about what you want, that you'll be easy to work with.

Have you posted a request for what you want on this site yet?

yeah but SOMETIMES what the job is isnt always worth the money plus guys money dont go on trees you know?

i had this guy asking me for 350$ for adding a code to a script already made...at that price might as well get to code the whole thing no?

Yep, I've posted, and I usually let the person quote a price, so money isn't the issue.

As for clarity, I typically want mods I see on other sites, so my description is typically: Who can create THIS mod, and what is your rate to do this...

I don't work for 'nothing' [far from it ;) ], and I don't expect others to, either...I pay fair rates for work done.
