maybe you can decide how many you want to show online

I still don't see how that will make the board look busy, there is to many variables to worry about, on the proper way to fake that. Like online.php, member.php, and exactly where are these members supposed to be. Just seems like to much work for no gain in return. :)

When you start a new board, you need it to look busy so people will post, its that simple. This is a must have tool to get your board up and running fast. Not sure why you diss this product.

It's not really a dis. But talk to any forum admin, and they'll tell you. Nobody posts because the forum looks busy. They post because it is busy. It doesn't get busy by pretending it is. Just like parking cars at a restaurant isn't going to convince people that it's popular, when they go in and see the place empty. The jig will be up pretty quick.

I still don't see how faking stats on the forumhome, is going to make a site look busy. Lets say you add 300 fake users, and 600 guests. Then you also add 2500 fake threads, and 7500 fake posts counts.

Now I start to browse the site, but can only find 150 threads, and 250 posts. that is going to throw up a red flag. Lets say I believe the 300 faked user count, but all I see are posts/threads from one or two users, again red flag.

When someone looks for something using their search engine, is there a option to filter the results by how many members, guests are on a site, or how many threads are there, NO.

Content is king, attracting users to your site is all about content. Have relevant, new and fresh info is the key. It will move you up in the search page rankings, thus making your site more visible, and getting users to your site. :)

But if you insist this is the way to go, try this mod, vBSocial FAKE STATS 4.0 - Lite you may have to go with the pro version toget your desired results though.
