Is the mod still enabled?

otterag 08-27-2012 02:05 PM

yes.

BirdOPrey5 08-27-2012 04:14 PM

Then I don't know... sorry. Do you happen to have a test site up somewhere?

otterag 08-27-2012 05:07 PM

I do not.
Are there any other settings I should check? Or are there any other mods that this might work with?
I am willing to check anything suggested to get this work.

Are your plugins enabled? Do you have any other mods installed that are working?

If you go to Admin CP -> Plugins & Products -> Product Manager is there any notice at the top of the screen saying plugins are disabled?

If you go to Admin CP -> Settings -> Options -> Plugin/Hook System is it set to YES?

otterag 08-28-2012 12:51 AM

I looked at both of those and there was a warning at the top of the Plugin Product Manager saying they were turned off in the config.php

top half of the image is the Plugin Product Manager, the bottom half is the Plugin/Hook System

got it fixed, thank you for all your help.

I would like to thank you for porting this into vb4.

Installed and for the last 3 weeks not a single bot got in.

I have 20 question and answer in default one and another 20 in this

Given that they both are random = 400 possibilities. :))

Questions are simple but there is no chance any bot will ever crack it unlike captchas or re-capchas

Thanks again

IMO this has to be build on, let me know if you need my vote in JiRA

Great mod, thank you. Works well with 4.2

dog-tag 09-20-2012 03:06 PM

Fantastic idea :)

I have recently used the mod "keycaptcha" which is outstanding for stopping bots, but its somehow connected to their server, and it seems to get DDOS I'm guessing from time to time and allow bots

This is pretty similar in some regards, but more custom and more reliable! A+ for the idea, and I will try install this tomorrow...
