Just heard on the news "Today in NYC History" the famous Chinese dish "Chop Suey" was invented on this day in history at the Waldorf hotel by the personal chef of a visiting Chinese diplomat.

I had no idea, I thought he had just closed his site down. This news really saddens me, he was such an intelligent kid. :(

Saw BirdOfPrey's signature and thought wtf? I always got along ok with him, he never really seemed like he had an attitude with me. He was always helpful, this is indeed very sad news. I hope that his family is doing well. RIP Corey

Only spoke with him a couple of times and i have to say i didn't realise he was so young, i wish him peace on the next level..

Saw bird of preys signature and followed the link out of curiosity.

I'm new to the vbulletin community so I didn't really know him at all, but I have seen a few of his posts around the place. Seemed like a bright intelligent person. Such a shame.

I hope he found the peace he was looking for.

Very Sad and at such a young age. Sadly I hear about these things all the time in my job but its never nice.

Text: On 7/1/2010 at approx. 1744 hours, the Alaska State Troopers in

Bethel responded to Scammon Bay to investigate the reported death of

Corey Akerelrea, age 17 of Scammon Bay. Investigation revealed that

Corey died of a self inflicted gunshot wound. Corey's body has been sent

to the State Medical Examiner for an autopsy. No foul play is suspected.

Next of kin has been notified.
