Very Nice.
Thanks! |
Good Day,
I use this mod at two RPG boards and it is vital to our games. Great work! I have, however, run into an issue with it and wonder if we could get a fix for it? We have characters in the Stargate RPG (and may have in the Babylon 5 one in the future) that have apostrophes in their names (Examples: Col. Jack O'Neill, Teal'c, etc.). When we go to edit a post to add our portions of the story, in posts owned by O'Neill or Teal'c, the mod cuts the name off after the apostrophe and resets the post owner to "Guest". For example, Col. Jack O'Neill becomes Col. Jack O and that is, of course, an unregistered name. I am providing screen shots. Please let me know if this can be fixed. Regards and Thanks Alisa |
Thank you for this add-on!

I do have one bug to mention, though it might not be on the side of your mod, not sure: If a CMS post has no author (such as when you do an import and then merge a CMS user into the admin) then you cannot give the post an author. I went through about 4 Impex imports before I tracked down the problem.

THIS MOD IS AMAZING!
Thank you so much. I very often forget to log out of admin account and make posts that should be on my personal account... this mod allowed me to change them all appropriately :) |
On VB 4.0.3 PL1 it doesn't add the extra post count to the user in whose name you posted. Also I can't change the date either. TIA.
On Edit: I've also noticed that though it doesn't add on a post when the post is deleted it subtracts from the post count. |
I am experiencing the same thing and this is easily reproducible.
The post count goes to the account actually making the post. This problem can be solved by running the Update Counters > Update Post Counts; but can be quite a pain to use all the time. Hope this bug can be fixed. Alternatively, in the meantime, does anyone know how I can run "update counters" as a scheduled task or something? Quote:

I've discovered another limitation of this mod.
If for example, User A is logged in, and tries to post as User B. All users who have subscribed to that thread will see User A as the one who is posting; and hence, User B's real identity is known. |
