Found a major bug that needs to be address asap IMO.

We are using this hack as a staff only feature (for issuing warnings and infraction reasons). I've enabled ONLY the staff usergroups to be able to use this (5,6,7).

However, EVERY group can use this. The usergroup setting is broken on vb 4.0.5.

See attached files for both setting and results for this test account (which is only a registered user account).

I don't want regular members to use this feature to hand out warnings in threads.

Confirmed. I just checked this and have the same situation here.

Had to uninstall this mod until there's a fix. Great mod, just not much value for my community since it cannot be used as a warning/infraction system.

Will keep an eye out on bug fixes.

I can not confirm the error. Staff can use it, normal users will not see anything like this, in replies or in the control center.
I have tested it in my forum as a regular user. (vb4.0.5 and this cannedreplies.php https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showpost....2&postcount=47)

Did you try to disable all other mods?

The image in my previous post is of a reg user (non-staff) being able to use it when they shouldn't (see other screenshot of permissions in cp).

I did not uninstall other mods. It's possible there is intereference, but I need my other mods (there aren't many). So it just wouldn't be worth it to sacrifice them for this unfortunately.

But apparently, there is at least one other person w/ this problem.

I understand your problem but I can not adjust it.

Thou shalt not do without on your other mods but just to test whether the problem occurs if the other mods are disabled.
If so, then switch one after the other and test again when the problem occurs.
The only way to limit the mistakes.

This is an awsome mod and our moderators were over the moon as it is used for staff only.

We are running VB 4.0.4.
We have the same issue that everybody has access to the canned replies.

We have had to disable it until this can be sorted.

Please have a look at this, for our type of forum it is a very needed mod.

I have discovered that only the "Shared" replies can be used by all users.

We have worked around this & enabled the mod again.

I can confirm that by shared templates the selection box for the template even for normal users appears. The template text himself will not displayed and is not insertable, just the selection box with the headlines will appear.
