An idea: what about creating a custom bbcode that can work with this mod ? Whatever between that bbcode becomes hidden until user posts something in the thread.

Something like [ hide ] [ / hide ] and you can add any thing between it ?

vBulletin.org here is using the same (hide) (/hide) replace () with []
in vb.org use the same codes to hide :D
So when I post them it's automatically hide:)
