Most of the modifications running on vBulletin.org are integrated together and can not so easy be split off into a seperae releasable modification.

Then why not release the whole thing? Have a forum just for it like the ibProArcade or something.

That is not feasible as it is also integrated with very vB.org specific changes.

Okay now so, when this place is upgraded. Why not release the nice color chooser you guys have, along with the width thingy. Would be a hit.

I was under the impression that someone had already released a mod that does the same thing.

* yes I know vb.org is technically not owned by IB. Just on IBs server and supporting the vb product in many ways. ;)

Since IB own the domain, I think it would be fair to say they own vb.org. :)

I really dont understand this mentality that all IB sites "must" run vb4 to advertise it, showcase it, whatever. Its just nonsense. The only site this could possibly apply to is vbulletin.com, since that is the product and support site - and hey, it is running vb4.

They have. Can't quite remember who, but pretty much every modification you guys make is replicated in some way and released by the regular members here.

Or it's released by the staff, I remember one of the admins here releasing half the vBulletin.org modifications.

LOl, I dont quite think so.

Some of the display related mods are slightly custom versions of Joes, which he has also released. :)

vb4 is an incremental rewrite of vbulletin. So its heading for being a rewritten, new product, released by a different company. Showing that many IB sites run well on vb4.x does bring across a statement of reliability and confidence in their own product. The proof is in the pudding. At least for some.
