Thank you! This mod works in version 4.04 - groups are in the order i prefer - but I get this message at the top of the page. I am using the default template. Anyone know what file/change I need to make? Thanks in advance.

Warning: fetch_template() calls should be replaced by the vB_Template class. Template name: showgroups_moderators in [path]/includes/functions.php on line 3984

Yes, as I said above, it works beautifully. There is no need for an add-on or plug-in to do this.
