If you take out the "%E2%80%9D" from the url above the sponsors link works perfectly, does anyone know what can be done to rectify the problem?

Make sure you have a "http://" in front of your sponsor's address..

IE - http://www.sponsor.com versus www.sponsor.com

I think the biggest issue is that the instructions listed on their website are in a funky character set and vB doesn't recognize the double quotes.. Go thru and replace the quotation marks in their template modifications with normal quotes in wordpad, notepad, etc and change the max version to 3.8.1 in the install xml and you're in business..

Hi Jester...

Can you bi kind and send me fixed files ( miksanov@yahoo.com ) or at least explain this procedure little more detail. Thanks a lot...

Hello there,
I am using vB.Sponsors on my forum and was given a couple of flash banners to use, which, alas, did not work as vB.S is using an img tag and the flash seems to want to use an embed tag to display the content.

I'm no expert at doing this but had a look at the code for the mod and the code to placed in the template's and worked out that what I needed were a few options for the two banner items.

One is to say if the banner is flash or not, if it's not then it'll use the normal img tag code, if it is flash then it'll use the flash code, so I put in a simple "if" conditional. I also figured out I'd need to supply width and height, so I added those options to. Thus there are a total of six new options (three per sponsor banner).

Anyway, my point being, it might not be pretty in the admincp, but the code side of things does indeed seem to be working and flash banners are displaying, thus I thought I should contact you and suggest I forward over my modification to you, as it's your mod, and you could take a look and decide if it's worthy of an update to the official release of vB.Sponsors

I tried to email via your website but the CAPTCHA verification image is not being displayed (I'm using OS X 10.5.7 with Safari 4 and Firefox 3.5)

I had this working for ever, I just realized it has broken. I get the right link, but it never redirects to the new site.

Problem solved. I moved my forum and forgot to update the links.php page
