They still have a few bugs to work on, if I'm not mistaken, and I'm happy to wait until they feel they have made a stable version. However, I'd be most content if they released an "as-of-now" beta. I foolishly took the rapid progress from beat 1 to beta 3 as a semi comparable time reference, and promised my community we'd be updating within a few weeks. Now, they're all looking at me like "wtf."

lol, b3 has been out a while now without getting atleast a new beta, but thats the joys of software development and i'm sure it'll be well worth it :)

can't wait for the final one. I haven't touched anything to my current site because of it :-)

As the otehrs say never promise that is one big rule with BETA Software, you should never say to a member that it will be a few weeks for the next update, as they will likely get a whole batch of bugs fixed before the next release so then they wont have as much to do on the next one :)

Just sit tight after all we only just got xmas out the way

therogueforums 01-20-2008 04:43 PM

Oh, I learned my lesson well. No more promises! That said, I don't think we're too awfully far away from either a Beta 4, or RC1 now. Only 10 bugs awaiting feedback, and I believe it's back up to 5 unconfirmed bugs (was only 1 unconfirmed a few days ago).

The vB Team seems to be on the ball once more, and my hat's off to them. Do I wish it'd be ready sooner? Heck yes! Am I willing to wait for a stable package, free of bugs? You bet ya!
