I`ve just asked for some support and received the simply best support of all-time. This project is great, at the same time developers are real kind people. I really recommend these people and their products to everyone who reads this thread. I`ve seen a similar product which was approx 140-150$ and as you can see they are giving this one for only 2.95$ which is simply nothing for a product like this.

Thank you all of you who made this great product.

Awesome!!!

WOW thanks for a great feedback. Never really knew there was software out there for $140+ for this sort of thing... Guess you can save a few dollars with our Full version :)

Anyhow we enjoyed working this issue out for you and if you require anything else feel free to contact us at anytime.

Best regards,
BTR

PS Latest update for v2 see the below screenshots because we are now going to be supporting "ARTICLES", the LITE version has support so far and now working on the FULL, once we are done, we'll announce it. :) The FULL version will be coming with extras (About 6000 ready-made articles)

Version 2 EPC Autoposter

Change Log

05/18/2007 @ 20:00

Version 2 ::

Gives support of rotating and posting articles automatically along with the ability to mix in with the RSS feeds. (Create an articles directory inside your forums root for this)

Ability to manage all feeds, from one location which is persisted to the Add Autoposter underneath the RSS Manager Section inside vBulletin. Meaning once you enter these values, come back to this screen, everything is managed in the Add Autoposter for simple use.

Never duplicates posts of text files, once posted it will not post no more.

When posting from articles do note: The name of the text file will be the
Threads Title.txt, or Threads-Title.txt. (So yes the supported file extension is txt)
So now you have the ability to simply upload a load of articles to one directory and use this directory as your despository for storing all of your articles.

Example:

The articles folder has three text files – So, when the cron job is run, it posts three threads (with title = to the file name., ie. “Wassup Fellas”) using randomn userids

When the cron job is set to run the next time, it will not post any new threads unless you add new text files to this folder, this is to safeguard you from DOUBLE posting the same content.

Now on this note, the EPC Autoposter Full Version comes with over 40MB of Articles, which is downloaded instantly after your purchase, :) so consider this a ready-set-go format for you. Not naming off all the articles here because there are thousands of them.

We will be updating soon on how to build your own Markov Chains to rewrite your own articles using RUBY :)

This is great, 40mb articles. I`ve nominated this as a mod of the month.

Yes this is great stuff 20 zip folders worth of articles for the Full version. So now we are supporting RSS Feeds and articles at the same time :)

Attached here are some articles for the LITE users to use! Since we have many new supporters of the FULL version, we felt this to be a give-back to the community. Enjoy and make sure you mark install if you like this hack.

Because one member stated that there is a software out there selling for $140+ to do this for you...

(Yes we did raise the price for new FULL version to $4.95 from $2.95 to answer about 35+ e-mails and messages)

Wow! Who are these people? Where did they come from? In a age where contracting out your help desk is commonplace, these guys make you remember the way it used to be.

I purchased the full version of this. But being the noob that I am, murphy is a very close companion of mine. But there is no worry with these guys.

They have an "aim to give the best support possible on the planet!"

And No doubt! They are meeting that aim.

You will not be disappointed with them.:up::up::up:

And I haven't even gotten to using the mod yet. I'm still blow away by their support.

As soon as I get the chance, I'm going to send this baby through its paces.

Stay tuned

Knippschild 08-22-2007 03:13 PM

I'm gonna check this out when I get home from work.

I might turn off the cron though and I will just start the process manually at random intervals (perhaps only once every few days)

The autoposter and rss grabber are working like a charm, thanks for your help with those.:)

With the autoposter setup in its default configuration, it posts {rss:title}, {rss:description}, and {rss:link}

Is there a way to post more than just the description though?

I know that this is more of a rss xml question than one concerning the application itself, but can you point me in the right direction? Or is this strictly under the control of the feed owner?

To post more than just the brief description of the document in question would be the icing on the cake for me.

radarhunter also inquired about this back in post #13 of this thread.

Thanks.

You may add onto this, but if you wanted to pull more information from the certain feed, that's not possible due to the RSS Publisher's settings on his/her RSS Publishing system. They call these "Teasers." Hope this helps?

Otherwise let me know if you don't understand this and I'll find an article on this for you using our "Best-Friend" Google :)

Best regards,
BTR
