well i don't know how he can be pressurized now to pay. If he had any intention to pay he would have replied by now with atleast a newer excuse. and i am afraid that a guy with a tag of master coder under his name will do this to lot other people. You can have him criminally charged with larceny/fraud. You paid for a service that wasn't rendered, and the funds were never returned. I would look into getting all of his info, like his full name and location, and then chatting with the local authorities or perhaps even chat with paypal. They may be able to assist you further if you describe the entire ordeal, and let them know that you wish to follow through with criminal charges. I bet some police knocking on his door will get his attention!

The coder status only tells something about the number of released modifications here at vbulletin.org and how many have clicked install for those.

It does not tell anything about the person (or even the quality of his/her work).

PS that also goes the other way round: Someone without a title can still be very good in what they do.

That would be to easy of a punishment, i think the humilation of people knowing you are a thief, far out way's a person being banned from a site and nobody knowing he is a thief.....

yes marco i do know that. Having said that though, my only point was that the title to a new guy will convey the impression of someone who is a master at his work(it might be difficult for the regulars or the seniors to maybe imagine this, but i would have to say that thats maybe how newbies to this board may see it). lets not go into that though. Its not the issue right now.
