WOW!

It's gonna be sweet! The one time I will upgrade immediately instead of holding on the an RC release forever.

This is all so ridiculous. Unions/groups/whatever. Just CHILL OUT and give the new staff a chance to BE a staff.

GAWD I'm so tired of all the bickering, name-calling, demeaning, putting down, telling staff that the new staff members aren't good enough to be in their positions, blah blah BLAH!

.org used to be a fun place to long on to......... YOU constant fault-finders are the ones ruining it for the rest of us who just want to learn about vB, enhance our vB, and have fun in the process. Let the s*** die down for a little while would you PULEASE??

Ohiosweetheart
complaining about complaining makes me sad :(
Maybe add a couple smilies to cheer things up?

Personally I think it's great to see members here with the brains and guts to think things through.
Innovative thinking requires an open mind and a willingness to accept that many ideas are dead-end and down-right dumb.
Sometimes ideas can be presented and sound ridiculous, are put to the side, and some time later they become realized.

Ya gotta remember, every single one of us is travelling down uncharted roads, we'll make mistakes, and hopefully learn from others mistakes :)

Gotta go, but first ...

I'd like to extend a hearty kudos to everyone here who blazed the trails and showed what could be done with this awesome software.

You have certainly gained mine and thousands of others much deserved respect.
Couldn't have done it without you.

Thanks
Mark

Don't know much about Unions eah? This would only work for vB employees, not product owners. And how exactly were you planning on going "on strike" - by not using their product (which you already paid for)? You would be better off starting something like a buyers group, where your members could buy the product at reduced (quanity) pricing and have extras included that vB doesn't offer their customers.

I agree. How about some cottage cheese?

I think I know a bit more about unions, than you do about reading a thread before commenting on it. Of course you wouldn't take strict action by not using your license, you'd do it by removing your work from here or other means. *sigh*

So you're going to delete every post that you've ever made from here? That sounds like a lot of work, and more of a punishment to the 'user' than to vB.org. And what are you going to do if they do meet your demands, repost all of those posts? Yep, I can see vB buckling under that pressure real fast :bunny:

Don't get me wrong, I agree that more representation is needed, but until something realistic can be put down on paper, it's just a nice dream ;) A 'vB coders union' would make more sense...

I'll be the first scab - I like this place - I have no idea at all what all the bad blood is about, there are plenty of hacks and mods that are interesting and useful, I can get answers some of the time to vBulletin questions I have and no one stops me posting here.

It all seems fine to me.
