That's generally either lag with the Yahoo yui, or the server itself. I have about 6,000+ lines go through a day on a SLOW day and I have yet to hear anyone complain.

Those devices need to handle ajax and java. If they do, then they should be able to no problem. But we all know HTC phones can do this. ;) Iphones suck.

Gmerin, once the 4.0 version is released and if you still have issues viewing from a phone, post that in the new thread we create and we can see about troubleshooting it.

There is no further development of this product in the 3.x category.

I would hope they decide to support more mobile platforms than just HTC, especially since WM was 4th behind Symbian, Blackberry, and iPhone in global market share in 2009 (iphone has since overtaken Nokia/Symbian, and Android just managed to beat Palm for 5th place.)

BTW, where is the java code in Evo? its all php and ajax, and ajax is javascript, which is infinitely different from java. iPhones support javascript, ajax and php/dhtml fine.

there is a difference between handing something, and doing it well. i can read the chatbox on iphones now; i'm just not satisfied with the quality of the user interaction when I compare it with the user experience offered by mods like Tapatalk which is why i would like to see a native client offered, or an exposed api and I'll publish my own native application.

Gmerin, you are missing 1 large key point. This is for a computer, not for a phone. The support base lies there. ;)

The only key point is the market because that's where the money is: if you don't want to support the largest target market because of a pseudo ideological bias (claiming machines that run unix, - apples including iPhones, run unix, are not computers), someone else will. And since I run paid licenses for all my software (including Evo) on all my boards that's where our money will go.

Also you're making a distinction where none exists: what is a phone and what is a computer? The distinction between the two is so old-fashioned, so 1980s, that it no longer exists. Back on the early 1980s an Apple II was just about your only choice for a PC. Now the Apple II CPU runs home light switches. Is it no longer a computer? The distinction is unreal and moot.

I asked for iPhone support; if you doesn't want to support it then I'll simply pay someone else to. Philosphy doesn't matter.

I followed the instructions and got an error, and I had to disable the mod. Can someone please give me easier instructions that I can work with? Please.

im not quite sure of how do we use the separate channels and what does the channel images mean......... I activated it but it doesnt show.

btw, is there anyway we can add in more than 1 chatbox? I would want 1 below the forums..
