How do you set this up so that the shoutbox only reloads when there is new information? Is it possible?

One the users doesn't see the chatbox while all the other usergroup members do see it,

check your usergroups permissions in admin cp m8!

Can permissions for inactive mode and private messages be set on a usergroup by usergroup basis ? Say, I want administrators to not have inactive mode but registered members to still have a 5 minute limit ?
