You can uninstall and then install again.
However, you will lose all cash and events then, as uninstall deletes all data the belongs to this hack.

well i just uploaded new files and overwrote old ones and did the same with the product as well cool

Will the vCash been payout automatically?

Or what do I have to do?

Thanks, very nice Hack for me!

I just did the Update and everything went fine. But what I forgot to post when I first saw the problem is that my newer skins don't show the option to make an vBookie event which is usually above/below Add A Poll.

Attached SHOULD be the pics explaining what I mean.

The silver skin is the only skin showing the vBookie Option
The Black skin (and 2 more skins) does not.
Bottom line I wish to know what to add and to what to make ALL of my skins have the vBookie Option:)

The readme file says:

3) In Template newthread
FIND
--------------------------------------------------
$threadmanagement
--------------------------------------------------

ABOVE that ADD
--------------------------------------------------
<if condition="$show['vbookieevent']">
<fieldset class="fieldset">
<legend>$vbphrase[post_a_vbookieevent]</legend>
<div style="padding:$stylevar[formspacer]px">
<div><label for="cb_postvbookieevent"><input type="checkbox" name="postvbookieevent" value="yes" id="cb_postvbookieevent" tabindex="1" $checked[postvbookieevent] />$vbphrase[yes_post_a_vbookieevent_thread]</label></div>
</div>
</fieldset>
</if>
--------------------------------------------------

There is no one line which is:

$threadmanagement

So, I took a guess in following the instructions as precisely as possible, and put the "ABOVE that ADD" coding in the following place in the 2nd of 3 instances of $threadmanagement in the newthread file:

{
PUT CODING HERE
$threadmanagement = '';
}

Of course, this results in an error in my forum when one creates a new thread.

Would someone please instruct me as to where exactly I am to put the coding? Thank you.

Just for clarification, what specifically do I need to do to upgrade from vBookie v1.0.5 to v1.0.7?

Do I just overwrite functions_vbookie.php and make one edit to postbit/postbit_legacy?

My apologies if this has already been answered.

TbChampions 02-19-2006 03:45 PM

Well, forget the following post. I wondered how I was the only one with this problem, but now I see that the script reads differently if you open it in the admin panel rather than the old-fashioned way I was doing it -- open in notepad, search for the text, add the change, save, upload via FTP.

Sorry.

I came here and have spent an hour reading old posts in a 39 page thread, trying to find the correct coding, and have yet to find it.

I appreciate you making this hack and if I get it to work, I think it will be a valuable addition, but I don't see why this hack or any other "shouldn't" be updated to go with the latest version of the forum. Granted, you don't have to give any of your time to update it, but it's certainly not "not necessary."

I said that it is not necessary to update this Hack, because it is not necessary :)
The install instructions were left unchanged (except that I recently replaced the hardcoded text with phrases) since 3.5.0 RC2.
So where is the point in "updating" them when in fact nothing has changed?

Also, $threadmanagement definitly exists in Template newthread.
If it does not, you are either looking somewhere wrong or your template is seriously messed up.

JBMoney 02-19-2006 04:14 PM

In my case, I need to upgrade for the eBux integration.
