and from one second to the next, all the guests that were searching the chatbox archive are gone lol. so weird.

Ensure CB's templates are not marked red in template list.
If yes, revert them.

any thoughts as to why it would be showing the [color] wrapped around the actual text in the chatbox when i type?

I noticed this from 3.1.1 to 3.1.3 something changed see the white now below the Status
how can I fix this?

Upgraded to the latest version. My Text Size dropdown menu is still empty. Not sure what to do.

That was the problem, thanks. It was from when you first released the mod and you couldn't see anything. Someone's fix for that. Since it was a while ago, I forgot it was ever done.

I'm sorry you're tired of such questions, but hey, I donated to you for this mod (when you released it) and well... that's probably more than most who ask for help can say.

I am seeing another bug (BTW, ALL templates are default. ;) ).

If the default color is selected the chat text looks like this:
