What style are you using? Is it the default, have you made any tweaks to your style? Maybe install another style and set it where it's not active yet since you are an Admin you can choose it and see if anything changes. Because obviously it works for others on their sites, so something unique to yours is tripping it up. Really at a loss at the moment. Worms in my head are working against me. Sorry.

Try turning off all your other mods/plug-ins and then turn the arcade on. Because there is some sort of conflict as others with no mods except this arcade do not get these sql errors.

Then one at a time, turn each one on until you find the Conflicter. Then when you do, make sure THAT ONE is the latest and greatest version. And if you still have the problem, do a google search with the name of both mods in your search query. It will list a bunch of vbulletin.org links, but google's search engine is a little more friendly in allowing you to type out your exact question into the search query.

And as for Warden-B, this script works for others. Your comment of removing until YOUR problem is fixed, as if someone will rush to you begging to ask what your exact issue is and how they can help is going to happen . Your comment is like saying, "I bought milk yesterday, didn't realize it already expired. Last time I shop at that store." If you want to use the script and have a problem, ask for help. Otherwise just remove it and shut up.

Quick little CYA for this script, I'm just some shmuck trying to help out with my little knowledge of the script. My comments, thoughts, and suggestions are in no way those of vB or MrZeroPage.

Thanks for trying to help. I solved my problem by going into phpmyadmin and changing the language collation for the tournament.

First off, just an FYI if the web has declared your site a "Game" site, then you are going to be screwed for a few months if not years until it clears that out. It's like being tagged an Adult site. Once you are, you're screwed for awhile unless you can get ahold of and convince the companies that run the software your member's company uses to keep their employees' PCs off certain sites. Good luck with that. I've tried and failed several times.

But, to answer your question. Open up the zip file you would download to install the arcade and read about the 3 templates you modified when you installed the arcade and just do it in reverse. You've uninstalled the script, now you have to go remove those manual modifications you made to your templates.

Even after that's done, it might be a caching thing on vb and you should have vB rebuild it's tables and stuff in the AdminCP>Maintenance section which is at the very bottom of the AdminCP's scroll list on the left.

Thanks for the info. I emailed Websense and they agreed to re-classify my site correctly as "Sports", and I've already had users tell me they can get back on.

I'm not even sure it was caused by this arcade - i think it's because I'm running WordPress for my frontpage, which I've come to find out others have had issues with Websense when using it.

Thanks.

Good to know. Thanks for coming back and posting that. I'll have to remember that for the future.

I cant see that being the problem,i have 3 game sites and all but 1 work on intranet, reason being the .com url.The url is what gets stopped not the fact the site is declared as a game site.Being a private network if certain urls not recognized get hammered then the administrator of the network will stop them.If the site was pointing to arcade.php instead of index.php i'd agree with you, but i doubt that.

Is there a download script for this? So you can have members download games?

General of the 07-30-2010 07:03 PM

does it work on 4.0.5???

Sarcoth 07-30-2010 08:07 PM

It does work with 4.0.5 and my scores are being saved in the database. If you are getting the unable to save scores message, it probably means you forgot to do something.
