For some reason all the shouts are aligned on the right side of the box in a very narrow column. How do I fix this so they are on the left side again?

Another user I helped experienced that problem while having a non reverted chatbox template.

I think you perphaps made modifications to your mgc_cb_evo template.

To correct this issue, you should revert the template :)

And uninstalling beta, and reinstalling seemed to fix it. Time will tell.
This is normal due to some issues encountered by a beta tester I renamed one of the database field. Thus needing you to uninstall and install again ;)

This file is no longer needed. I forgot to remove the include in the beta this is why you had an error !

Finally I tested and disagree it's working. In the template the $show var doesn't correspond to the one in the options.

Are you sure of what you were telling ?

You have to make a full refresh of the page. See in the list :)

Thanks for this new file. Updated earlier, and those who were complaining about it said the error went away... how come it only effects some people?

Because half of your users had the old javascript file in their cache and half hadn't that's all.

Oh !!!! Seems like I forgot to modify after the command includes into the code of the chatbox. Shame on me :(

I am sorry you'll have to wait for the next release to make that work again.

However, you can use the tick boxes and the remove shouts button in the archives to remove chats so it's not a big problem it can wait till I fix it :)

One question for you, or anyone, how do I delete individual chat messages with this new version?
Before I'd click the little arrow and choose "Delete this chat"
The only option I see is to delete all, or delete by username/userid, which is a pain when all I want to do is delete a single chat comment.

I just installed the 1.0 version, and it just keeps saying ...Loading... chat never comes up. No matter what browser i'm in. On 3.7.0

Ok, my bad, i have it working now. I also would like to know how to remove IP address from anyone but the admin, or just remove it all together would be better.

To manage the IP? I don't understand. You can't "manage" the ip. If you don't want anyone to see it, just goto usergroups and make sure manage chatbox is set to no. Anything other then that, and it's outside the functions of the chat.

I think what he means is that he wants to give his mods the ability to delete/edit all messages, but not view the IP addresses of the users.

The chatbox should just pull permissions from the usergroups menu in vbulletin instead of doing it independently.

Hello everyone!

I know that vBDev is on a well earned holiday but I was really hoping someone else could help me with my problem. I've uninstalled my shoutbox (removed all files and uninstalled product) but now I have installed it the new version and everything works fine except for the inactive mode. When it gets inactive after 10 minutes, you normally have to click on the green arrows to get the text back. However, when I click on the green arrows, I get to see the following:

Isn't really correct is it? Looks pretty darn ugly hehe. When I press F5, it gets back to normal. Does anyone know how to fix this?

In opera browser you can not type ! ) and " inthe chatbox, it looks like its forbidden :) Any ideas how to change it?

OH. Manage but NOT see the IP's. If manage is on....so is IP.

I'm sure if VBdev could add that as a seperate tick box, bot not sure you would want to remove that from a manage function and isolate it. I wonder if that can be adjusted in the VB settings themself for the usergroups. I think it might be. But again, that starts falling outside the chat schema.

ANYONE WITH PROTOTYPE this mod is NOT compatible and will lock at refreshing the chatbox and not load. The programmer needs to fix this issue as jquery and prototype play nice with each other which means it is his code directly causing it. If you need more info and js error logs and so on let me know I can send them to you. Has to do with your js files.

So how bout we get a ton of people to come on there and start bashing that? Are you 2? Why not contact VBdev direrctly. The guy is extremely nice and you gotta come in talking trash.

Why not spend more time troubleshooting it? Or bring the errors to the table. This stuff really irritates me.

This has nothing to do with bashing and no direct attack was made. I am sorry if you took it the wrong way. I am just letting people know an issue and the owner so he can fix it. It may be the cause of why people in past couple pages mentioned not loading. I know and understand he wont be back for a few weeks. I am just letting people know an issue so they can be aware and can either turn off any mod that uses prototype or turn off this chatbox. It is totally up to them. I am actually looking at his files to give the solution and a fix for it and send it to owner. I have the error logs and will send it to owner no reason to post it as won't make much sense to anyone who doesn't know javascript and coding. So again no bashing and no direct attack or harmful feelings towards developer at all sorry if it seemed that way. Here to help is all.

Thanks for the apology. I was kinda harsh. Been up for 2 days working on a huge server migration and crabby. ;)

I'm guessing protytpe is yours? After looking around, Donation system? If there is an interoperability issue by all means lets hammer it out. (VBDev is on vacation until the 30th) but I've got a ton of time into debugging it on just about every freaking server lol. I've noticed it's either the .js, CRSF, or Mod Security which is mainly only on *ix based machines and not IIS based. If you need help looking into it (although your a coder so I'm sure you are way ahead of me on this) just shoot me a msg and I'll gladly offer help.

Now that I think about it, what you found might also be one of the reason the show oldest first has issues displaying based off that code. Who knows..... After looking at SQL and every code and OS since Friday my brain is fried.

Prototype not mine it is just like jquery. The two play nice with each other and have been for years. Since vB uses YUI most scrips SHOULD be made with it and not try to do jquery or prototype. You end up loading js scripts multiple times sometimes 4 times or more and becomes counter productive. Again looking into issue now will let you know what I come up with. Have to load this software on test site to really test.

Ok. Yeah, I thought it was a plugin, that's why I'm like, sheesh. It's not even something on this site so that makes total sense why nobody ever heard of this issue. Would be nice not to have to do one of multiple different fixes for that loading issue for once ;)

I have recently upgraded to the new version. Now there are at least 4 members who can't see any of the chats. They see the box, the BB code icons, and who's online, but no actual chats!!

I tried signing in as two of them, and I can see the chats just fine signed in as them. Here is a screenshot of what they are seeing:

Any suggestions? Also - one other weird thing, the chatbox was working fine for one of them this morning, and nothing was changed in the meantime.

EDIT: Two of them have just told me they can see it with IE but not with Firefox, but I use Firefox and I can see it fine.
