The same thing happened to me, but I fixed it.
My problem was the wrong address in the Connect tab

The installation instruction was:

Quote:

Click on the Connect tab and set the Base Domain to your domain (siteurl.com) without the http or www.
But when I did so, the program automatically put http:// but not www. in front of my address, so I had a website like http://alternativa-forum.com instead of http://www.alternativa-forum.com

Go back to connect tab and check it. Does it show the proper website address? If not, change it!

wayyy too much template editing, but seems like a nice way to ease the registration for users.

I agree, the app needs to be streamlined a bit more. Not everyone wants to edit their templates manually, ick!

All in all, the app looks good. I haven't been able to fully test the data mapping, but we'll see what happens there in a few days.

I have having an odd problem I am sure some of you might be having as hell. I was having the "message too short" problem but I think I fixed it by resetting my secret code in facebook and updating it on my forums. Now I am having an issue with the newsfeed. Everytime I make a post or reply and it asks me if I want to publish on facebook everytime I press a button lik "Never Publish" or Always Publish it doesn't respond. Then if I close the box it sends the message. Hm? Also does it with the regular "Publish" "Skip"

Thanks for clarifying :)

I just also read through some posts in the 3.7 version topic for this hack and noticed a few people asking for the option in the ACP to exclude certain forums completely from being published to the news feed.

I'd like to also make this request!

For the time being I'm going to keep the news feed option turned off because of the privacy issue, we have too many private forums which I don't want to risk going to the news feed - even some of the topic titles can be too personal.

But hoping to be able to let our members use it soon if a future version has this change :)

Thanks Sllik for such a fantastic hack, I've voted it for MOTM :)

Hi Sllik,

Just wondering if this idea has been considered? It hasn't been acknowledged yet on your part as far as I am aware, so would love to know if its an upcoming feature... or at least a possibility for one.

Cheers :)
Bumping... still waiting for a response :(
