I appreciate the fast response!

I voted for this in the MOTM contest!!!!

I'm having some weird issues with my points system.

Like i said in a previous post, i'm setting up a contest with the following points:

1 point per post
2 point per thread started
5 points per referral

I have all of my settings set properly on the Administrators, who i'm testing it out on to ensure it's working. I have it set to do 1 point per post, but when I (an admin) post, it bumps it up by 5 points instead of 1...why is this?

If i'm a member of 3 different usergroups, and each usergroup has x amount of points, will all of those points get add up?

I'm also unable to find the Mass credit updater...Your screenshots are a bit small :(

Disabled what? The product, or the option in the ACP?

a lot of the displays will not appear when disabled, but it shouldnt have removed your template edits unless you use TMS

I disabled the product and the template edits were gone ???

Do you have every other setting at zero?

Mass credit updater is in the bottom of the update counters page (yes i will be adding a box of links to these things directly in the next version)

Did you actually check the templates for the edits? Many of the things in the templates will cease being defined and thus not appear, but it should not remove the html added unless you are using tms... i think i said that already

is possible to change the word "credits" in postbit , member info and navbar for any custom currency name?????? EX

Pakollars: (number of pakollars)

instead of

Credits: (number of credits)

Help me plz

Darkwaltz4 08-02-2007 03:27 AM

Yep!

the phrase is in the GLOBAL group, named 'credits'. edit it to whatever youd like.

NathanLedet 08-02-2007 03:34 AM

Here are screenshots of my settings.

Global settings:

"Registered Users" usergroup settings: (same as Admin settings)

Also, I have large amount of points going to those who refer new users. In vbCredits, the "?" says this:

Quote:

This is the award someone gets when someone else registers and says they were referred by them. Be careful with this setting because it is open to abuse by people creating many duplicate accounts to all refer to the same person. This action is detectable though.
What is the best way to detect if users are doing this?

Darkwaltz4 08-02-2007 03:59 AM

When did you first download the zip of vbcredits?

You can detect if users do that if there are a lot of dead accounts, all referring the same person.

I downloaded 1.3 today.

One more question...Are the credits for Referrals cron based?

credits for posts show up immediately, but I created a test account with a referral and the credits have not shown up.

edit: n/m..i just remembered they have to be registered for a day first....
