This is the first hack I've installed on the forum ^_^ It's my first attempt at installing a VB hack. I'm better with Vb3 XP

Edit: I'm gonna re-install it. I want vb. 2.2.9 I'm using vb 2.3.2 I think that's one of the problems.

It works perfecty on 2.3.0, atleast for me.

I removed all the stats from my postbit, the only thing i've got there is: Gender, a link to the Rpg Stats and Donate..
Mainly did it coz my postbit was huge, but in the prosess i got a very nice postbit, imho, witch isn't to big.. :)

Are you sure that DB Fix solves the problem? You should only have to run DB Fix when users are added in the admincp manually.

Potions must hace a buff assigned to them and must either heal MA or HP. If you haven't checked either of those checkboxes, then they will do nothing.

What hack version do you have?

We had the same problem at my boards a while ago, but we figured out how it was done:

The user deposit all his/her gil in the bank, then withdraws all his/her gil. The result should be that the users bank deposit is "0", but there was a bug.. The bug redeposited the same amount as the user withdrew, dubling the gil he/she has..

Oh yah, the Batte Arena Template needs some serious repair jobs. :s On the other hand I plan to make my own battle arena so no worries anyway. ^^;

EDIT Again: Oh, nevermind, had the window minimized. *feels stupid*

EDIT for like the 4th or 5th time. (I hate double posting. >_>; ): I figured out why I had "*" in every RPG Class. Only the admins were able to see it. ^^;; I needed to change the 0's to 1's. *feeling extra stupid* x_x;

3. Find the RPG Name profile field
4. Right click over the edit link and go to copy shortcut
6. Copy it in your browser
7. Near the end there will be a number. Remember that number
8. Go to edit the battle options
9. In the top option put in field# and replace number with the number you recorded in step 7.

I just install the hack today.......everything runs perfect ecept for one thing........i cant use the reset feature in the admin cp =(

does anyone have any idea what could be the problem?

Could you describe exactly what actions you are taking? What does the script do that it isn't supposed to do? Do you have a screenshot of any errors that it is giving you?

ok.......here's the situation, i kinda screwed up w/ the experience stuff -_-; (my fault)
but after i though about it i wanted to reset everything so that everyone will be equal.

After i pick the option to reset the experience and click on the Reset button, the page would just go blank and stays like that =(
no error or nothing either =/

Hey, i got another problem.........it seems that the intergration hack doesnt work very well w/ the Lesane's Store. That's because when i enable that, i cant wager any money in battles =(

well.....maybe i did something wrong, if i did....that would be awesome! :D

Please let me know if it's the hack itself or just me :)

I know on the v67, mods could give themselves points, AP, and stuff. I'm not sure if it's on the newest version or not...

Um I re-installed the hack but this time had no Code to edit *yay!* But instead I got this error:

My hard drive crashed and I am in the process of trying to recover the data. In the meantime, this means that I can't test any problems some of you are reporting with this hack.

Resetting experience worked for me when I tried it a long time ago. I will try it again when I get my computer back.

Same as above. It worked for me, but I can't test it right now.

Are you using Lesane's Store Points instead of the RPG currency system? If you are using Lesane's Store Points then there isn't supposed to be a points field. Otherwise, you need to add one.

It is on. To turn it off, just delete the rpg files in the /mod folder.

Those are the variables used in battleupdate.php. Their actual values are shown after the ":". They are supposed to show up so that you can easily find them in battleupdate.php.

Which link are you using to donate from then? Is the link in the rpgcp? Or is it in the meberprofile? Or is it somewhere else?

I was thinking of alittle addition. Not big or anything, but I don't think you can do it at the moment due to your computer crashing. I'm sorry about that. But when it's possible, can you add + to speed and + to magic in the list when making a new item catagory? That'd be really good. ^^;

And about the extra variables, is there a way I can take out those?

I had v.68 too, but you'll need to upgrade to get the shields to work properly. In the zip there is a new version of battleupdate.php and battlefight.php. It is mentioned at the bottom of the first post in this thread.

can you put a feature where users at battle have limited Draw request? cause one of my members found out how to gain level ups easy by issueing draw endlessly, i had activate exp on batlle post, can this be done?

If they abuse it you can simply say that you will remove the possibility. Make an announcement saying that abuse of the feature will elad to it beeing removed. I know it's a drastic stept, but until there is a fix for it's a working solution..

Not sure if this work as i haven't tested it, but if you remove the $retreat variable in the battle_arenaattack template the option to request a draw should dissapear..

Be sure to back up your template, in a txt file or something, and save it..

Just my two cents..

Edit: Tested it and it works.. The ability to withdraw is also removed, so battles will last untill one is defeated.

Ok for some reason my battle system isnt working! I can create battles and such but when my opponent tries to enter the battle is says wrong battle # or password. It wont let anyone battle basically=( how do i fix this?

It's the use of negative numbers, in general, battle wagers, etc.. is a problem.

Here's how we got ripped
Personal shop accounts can go into the negative.(no limit)

I'm member "A", I logon/signin as a new member,"B".
"A" Donates a pile of cash to "B".

Late at nite when nobody's around..
"B" opens a personal shop and sells items for -10,000.
(any negative number will do..)

"A" buys the items which adds 10,000 in his account with every purchase. There is no limit to how much can be taken..

Our solution, no personal shops... (unhappy members)
we'd like to have personal shops,
AND even better, personal shops with battle items that work....

negative number battle wagers is still a problem but only hurts
the person that does it...

The original personal shop, allows to have an item the don't do nothing in battle. With this hack, you can build items with bonus in battle (the bonus is in the attack now).

Version numbers that contain a letter after the number means you only have to re-upload certain files. In this case, I believe you have to re-upload battlefight.php and battleupdate.php, as stated in the first post. It can be done, but not very easily. I would suggest using Telchar's method ( https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showpost....postcount=2311 ). or diabling exp per battle post.

What happens when you try to enter the battle? Do you get the same message?

Does the battle show up in the admin CP? Does the opponent get a PM, if so, does it contain the correct information about the battle?

I wish I could look into this problem for ya, but I still don't have my hard drive.

A fix for negative battle wagers was posted a while back. I am not sure of the exact location in this thread but it is there.

Negative personal Itemshop items should have been fixed in version .68. Although I can't test this right now (hard drive...), I can see that the code is there:

they have the correct password and they receive the pms.

edit: hmmmmmmm odd.... in acp it shows the battle but the box for a password doesnt have anything in it=( y doesnt it show the password i write in from the new battle page?

edit2: ok the password i type in isnt showing up anywhere including pms.

Has anyone manipulated their code so you can only select your character once rather than just being able to go there and change your character anytime you want? That is kinda stupid cause then you really don't get a feel of "building" your character. If anyone has manipulated their code, please let me know what you editted so I can change my code too please.
