Hi i m new to vbulletin... I want to install this chat for my webiste... I have seen readme.txt but itz confusing for me. I hav uploaded all the files. But chat is not displaying on my site. Can any please help me out...

2. I have vbshout installed. If I simply disable it, will I be able to install MGC Chatbox without any conflicts? Or would I have to completely uninstall vbshout first?

If it works for a prior version, by default generally, the newer version of the forum will work to. But to answer your question. Yes. See my next answer below.

Yeah. Use the search function here ;) Mod_security. That's your issue if it's Apache I'll bet. Get the newest chat, noboody uses this anymore, and again, it's not supported.

Then do the var security fix. Uninstall this version according to the uninstall instructions. (remember to remove all the files then). Install the supported version.

Could use some help with this. I'm still running this mod on my upgraded 3.7.4 and all works perfect. That's why I have no desire to upgrade or anything. However I would like to make a couple tweaks thought.

1) I have vbadvanced cmps installed and when you click on either of the items in the drop down menu on the navbar your taken to the cmps page and stuffed to the right side. When I installed vbadvanced cmps it took over index.php so I renamed the forums index.php to index1.php and vbadvanced cmps to index.php. How can I code it so it directs to the forums index1.php or to a stand alone page?

2) How can I remove the "MGC Chatbox [Archives]" from the top of the chat box? There's really no need for it to be there because it's already on the navbar.

I know this is an old thread and old version but I also know there are folks like me that still use this version.

Could someone please help me with this?

Probably a stupid question but how do I ban someone for only 30 days on the chatbox? For that matter, how do I ban anyone at all?

Hmh, There seems to be a problem though, When I enable the feature that plays a sound when there are new messages, It spams it every 30 seconds even without new messages. (Every time it refreshes basically)

I tried to install MGC Chatbox Evo with no luck so uninstalled and moved to MGA which worked perfectly.

I just went into Usergroups to edit standard permissions and saw that all of the options and permissions for the now deleted MGC Chatbox were still there.

I never thought much of it until I tried to alter a permission and was told that I could not because there were sql errors, the errors specifically relating to bad sql commands and the original chatbox permissions that were not deleted with the program.

I am now...locked out if you will as I cannot change permissions. Thoughts? I also cannot hit the reset button as nothing happens.

I have seen alot of threads with no straightforward answer for this and figured one out:

1. Go into your Forum directory and delete all of the pertinent files for this program;
2. Rebuild and repair the Database in the options by SQL Query.
