I managed to put the code in Navbar under under {vb:raw ad_location.global_below_navbar}
and it worked.

but how do I stop guests from reading the shout box?

Did u try admin cp/vbshout/instance manager/ press edit scroll down u will see list of user group permissions

I figured out the problem, it was when I clicked sign out it still showed the shoutbox even though I was signed out. when I changed pages to the forum front page it was gone as I was a guest.

I have been trying to put the shoutbox in CMPS and for some random reason it only loading.Is there a way to fix this issue?

According to vBulletin.org you haven't downloaded this mod yet. If you downloaded it from our website, please use that to request support as it makes it easier for us to handle :)

That means you have another mod that is using invalid JS code on your forum. This mod is preventing vBShout from working because all JS execution ends as soon as an error is detected.

It seems to be the top 10 stats mod that's the culprit. Also, another mod is using something called "mootools.js" - no idea which mod that is. That mod is also creating errors, as is your viglink integration.

Yeah, but any colours someone select will display the same on all themes - so edit all the themes to only include colours that fit on all themes.

You can edit the dbtech_vbshout_colours template :)

That is an error either with your browser or with your server's mime type settings.

Hello. First let me say another great mod from Dragonbyte. I did have one question though. In the instance management panel it gives a piece of code that you can insert into the navbar template to have the shoutbox appear on every page. I've tried this in various locations on the template but I can't get the shoutbox to appear anywhere but on the main forum page. Is there a specific place on the navbar template that the code needs to appear on?

You may be able to edit the HTML in the dbtech_vbshout_shoutbox template for that tab.

I like the mod.

My members asked for two issues I souldn´t solve. Is it possible to start the chat de-collapsed as default and how can I run the shoutbox in a separate tab?

How can we change the background color of the colorbutton, font selector, and font size selector menu's?

It doesnt seem to be related to the other popupmenu background color stylevars, because I have a dark style, with all my popup menu's dark, however these 3 menus in the shoutbox are still white in the background.

I have gone through all the popupmenu & editormenu stylevars, and all the dbtech/css templates and cant find it anywhere.

hello, when I change settings in instance management it's not saving. we moved to a new host and every since the instance management settings keep erasing.

strict standards: non-static method VBSHOUT_CACHE::init() should not be called statically assuming $this from incompatible context, on line 16, and the errors keep going on from there, which are similar.

well it says to edit htacess or php.ini and liquidweb doesn't let you do that, will this be compatible with php 5.4 soon?

Not until vB4 itself is compatible, which it is not at the moment.

You will not be able to run vBulletin on a host that doesn't allow you to downgrade.

ok they said there shared plan is on 5.3 the webmaster plan is on 5.4, we run vb4 on this host right now.

for some reason the chat I installed *from this page* has a lot of glitches. messages with newly added bbcode are removed every so often, links and messages are deleted with no reason *the appropriate permissions are set to allow urls* and now it changes random messages other users and myself have typed to "yu mad" i am not sure what is going on here. any help?

so I had liquidweb move my server to a different one with PHP 5.3 all the strict standard errors are gone, but instance management is still not saving any settings. does it have to be exactly 5.3 because lw moved us to 5.3.18. I reinstalled the shoutbox and everything.

i get that error in my email, if you remember my post from awhile ago you had a solution to that error. I checked the language table and it was there.

That's one of your staff members trolling you, or you have a security breach on your server.

i get that error in my email, if you remember my post from awhile ago you had a solution to that error. I checked the language table and it was there.
That can happen if someone tries to access the file in the time it takes from you uploading the PHP files and the time you imported the XML file.
